Nr. 213: Siblings Martha, Mary and Lazarus of Bethany.

Nr. 213:

Siblings Martha, Mary and Lazarus of Bethany.

The eternal life starts here and now with the life of faith, and lasts as into eternity with God after death. To emphasize that this is not just airy words, then woke up Jesus died three times (Lazarus in John 11; the widow's son at Nain in Luke 7.11 ff and Jairus's daughter in Mark 5.21 ff) and was even raised from the dead. When Jesus died were many from the dead for later to be with Jesus in paradise that he created the same day that he died.

Luke 10 38 And it happened while they were on tour, coming to a city, and a woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, she sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. 40 But Martha was very busy trying to serve him, she went back and said, Lord! do you not care that my sister has let me be alone to serve you? Bid her therefore that she help me! 41 But Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha! Marta! you do you are worried and troubled about many things, 42 but one is needed. Mary has chosen that good part which shall not be taken from her.
Joh. e. 12 1. Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 There they made a meal for him, and Martha went to his hand, but Lazarus was one of them that sat at meat with him. 3 Mary took a pound of real, very precious nardus and anointed Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with ointment fragrance. 4 One of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, he that should betray him, said then: 5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor? 6 But he said this, not because the poor lay him on the heart, but because he was a thief and had the bag and took what was put in it. 7 Jesus said: Let her be! she has hidden it for my burial day; 8 for the poor always with you, but me ye have not always. 9 A large number of Jews were then told that he was there, and they came not for Jesus' sake, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests to consult up to also kill Lazarus, 11 because many of the Jews of his guilt was there and believed in Jesus.

Bethany was a village of ancient Israel, it was some distance east of Jerusalem. Bethany means house of bread or bread miracle.

The first time we read about Martha and Mary is a family and a brother and sister in disharmony. Second time in John. AD 12, it is a family in harmony and joy, why?

I think it's written to us that we should take lessons and written for us to be spiritually enriched and edified.
Jesus was often visited here, actually just before he died and was on the cross he was in Bethany, and sought God the Father to be strengthened for the task (Mark 11).

Jesus in Luke 10 is a depressing example of "spiritual" people who thrive with Jesus. Jesus creates harmony and joy, but he created and caused the opposite, why?

In Jn. e. 12 is all apparently the same as in Luke 10, but here is the party and fun, why? We read:

Joh. e.

The first time we meet not Lazarus, as we meet him the second time, when everything is in perfect harmony. Lazarus is the key to understanding this story, Lazarus stands for death and resurrection. The difference between all of God's kingdom is whether there has been a death and resurrection. It is the most important thing going on with our lives and in our churches, we experienced a death and resurrection!

Christendom has never really understood Jesus and his message

Jesus' message is and was that he would die to give life. But this also applies to us. Jesus' greatest and most important purpose in our lives is that we must die - that he should be able to give life! Jesus is here our main example and role model when he says of himself that he is a grain of wheat.

Joh. e. 12 24 Verily, verily I say unto you, not the grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just one grain, but if it dies, it produces much fruit.

Hvetekornets law is indisputable. The corn will be in the ground before dying, to once again give life to konspirer and new grain harvest. It must always be first one died, as a resurrection. Both things belong together, or so it would really be a curse to receive life without a death. When Lazarus was the first death - as occurred - he brought the truth of life. This is where the secret of all lies. Give me people who are dead in themselves but live the hidden Christ lives and is in possession of the world's best and most wonderful people. Give me people who have not experienced a death of life itself but will also serve God, and a disaster and a lot of trouble is imminent. The difference is whether one has experienced a death of wheat grain or not. Where are you? Do you love even your life? Are you still as angry, greedy of money and have the same needs that you had before you were saved? Or is all brought to God and his death has passed over your life? If not, then let the death go over your life so that life side can flow into your life. These belong together like hand in glove.

We need first "death face" then "resurrection meetings"

It is strange with much of what is happening today. You get a man from the United States as a "prophetic" gift in some way. He will come with a prophecy, preferably to everyone and everything should be positive and "redemptive." All this is a deception more or less. We need that death goes everywhere with us, then we need spiritual fullness and presence of God in our lives. The order is important or we could end up being charismatics all together, there had been a great tragedy, for holding that Emanuel Minos doing this buzzing!

Jesus Raising of Lazarus made the difference

Martha and Mary was apparently the same things in Luke 10 and in John. e. 12 Martha served Jesus while Mary sat at his feet. The first time it caused a scandal second time a beautiful and wonderful perfume that was for the benefit of all. Why this difference? Christianity is the first death - that's life. Christianity with "only" life without death are false prophets in the activity. Christianity will always create and require a death to the old man if we like it or not.

2. Kor. 2. 14 But thanks be to God, who always lets us have victory in Christ and through us to manifest its knowledge scent at each location! 15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 16 of these a fragrance from death to death, Hine a fragrance of life to life.

We are a sweet savor of Christ, if we are dead in ourselves and Christ live their in and through us, he above are not my words but what the Scripture and Jesus says. God leads us forward in its triumphal progress in this place we sing a song.

Gal. 2. 20 I am crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

It's not just how much I can get by Jesus, but how much he can get by you and me is the big question. How much you give him? End-Time Christians, it is prophesied in the Word of God, and it is striking how it fits into our time. It's about these prophecies several places in the word of God. (Ap.gj.20 and Timothy letters). Includes a scripture:

2. Tim. 3. 4b They love pleasures more than lovers of God. 5. On the surface, the godliness, but denying the power of godliness. Turn away from such people.

They love God, but they love desires belong. When they need and to make choices, so they choose rather his flesh, a what God says in His word. Death is not passed, even life, therefore, creates also discord over all they are. While those who have experienced the "Lazarus" in their lives, they live to the glory of God. This is where the difference is, that death has passed over the old man in our lives so that resurrection power can and should be free to function.

It is when we stand by separate pathways that show who we are

There are those who attack and points out errors of others, which really makes all people to a greater or lesser extent. But it is when the spotlight directed against me and my weaknesses and tendencies that show one's own spiritual standpoint. It does not help to see the beam in his brother's eye if not were for the speck in their eye and their own lives. There are those who speak against homosexuals but itself is re-married. There are those who argue against another's wealth but are themselves lovers of money, etc. - so I could have continued, but will stop. It is more important and nødvendigere than everything that makes up the sin in his life, until one points out the faults and shortcomings, though it is also necessary and is fully allowed to do.

This was a testimony to all and for us

Joh. e. 12 3 Mary took a pound of real, very precious nardus and anointed Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with ointment fragrance.

Now they came not for Jesus' sake, but also to see Lazarus. Lazarus was so dead that it smelled of him, as death itself life is preferable. As then, when he was attracted to the life he was a great blessing. That is what God wants for our lives, that it should be and be a great blessing and comfort.

Death and resurrection belong together

Give me people who have experienced a death of the old man and at the same time have known the resurrection power. They are the greatest resource in the church and the kingdom of God. Give me people who have experienced both the one and the other, but not a death to self-life, they create problems and difficulties everywhere in the kingdom of God and the church.

Lazarus is the difference

"Lazarus" is the difference, Jesus says also that he is the resurrection and the life. And that's the extent we can feel the sufferings of Christ, we need and to experience his resurrection power. All glory to God and the Lamb.

When death and resurrection has taken place in our lives we get fruits

When death and resurrection has taken place in our lives we get fruit. But which ones? We will only depend on Jesus alone, not something in and around us. We are like the prophet writes:

Jeremiah 17 7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and let the Lord be his confidence. 8 He shall be like a tree planted by the water and shoot roots out of a stream. It does not fear when heat comes. Always have the green leaf. It provides not in dry years and does not cease to bear fruit.

This is a man who has seen and experienced what a death and resurrection. When is a dependent only and alone by Jesus. What others think, how others live, it does not turn negative on one. But one lives forever, even the Hallelujah ago, Glory to the Lord!

Includes the end of my commentaries from:

File. 3. 8 Yes, I consider everything as loss because knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, is so much more valuable. For his sake I have lost everything, and I see it as scrap that I may gain Christ
Paul embroiders beyond. There are a lot of all people want to achieve in this world and there is much one can do. And everything need not be negative. But if you have faith in Jesus or not? For his sake I have lost everything and nothing lets me stop believing in him and serve him alone. It is only the life and the faith that leads. Nothing could be equated to owning Christ.
9 and be with him. Here I have my own righteousness, which the law provides, but the justice I have by faith in Christ, who is from God and is based on faith.
Paul speaks of this as being a citizen of a country or coming from a particular place; be in him. I am reminded of Psalm 87.6 When the Lord writes up the people, counting him and says: "Here is this birth." 7 Then they sing and dance and say, "All my springs are in you.". The law provides a form of justice, self-satisfied for the flesh. No one can follow it to the letter, but still better than others (especially when one gets additional laws that the Pharisees and the Jews have today, just look at the heel to the head is not mentioned in the Bible).
The law is actually given for one thing: that we should realize and see that we are helpless, lost, sinners and transgressors. Rom.3. 20 No man is justified before God by works of the law. By law, we learn to recognize sin. The law applies, but we have the ability never to follow and comply with the Act requirements and bid. It requires perfection, but it has no people.
10 But I know him and the power of his resurrection, to share in his sufferings, becoming like him when I die that he -
Know Jesus, morning, noon and evening, it is the Christian life is about. When we share in his resurrection power but it is suffering, and suffering to go with Jesus in this world. Jesus had a tough, unfair and ill treatment in this world and the person who believes he can expect to receive.
11 I just had to reach the resurrection from the dead!
It aims Paul sluttfrelsen. There is a resurrection morning. One day we will see Jesus and fully become his equal, only if we endure to the end. Resurrection morning can be in several phases. There is a resurrection at the beginning of 1000-årsriket. A ruling by the white throne, but for us when Jesus comes into the air and the sky takes us to his house (1 Thessalonians. 4.13 to 18 and 1 Cor. 15.50 to 57).
12 I do not mean that I have already achieved this, or are already perfect, but I'm chasing up against it to seize it, because I myself am touched by Christ Jesus.
When even Paul could say that he was not perfect, we too can say that. But he drove towards goal. We are in the middle of a spiritual marathon course the vast majority and not a 100 m. How to reach the goal and the goal in the best possible way? In Jesus we are saved and he will be the center of everything we do. We should just live like Jesus, love Jesus, etc.
13 Brethren, I do not think about myself that I have caught it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and reach for what is ahead,
The sluttfrelsen had he not intervened, it has not yet. It happens when we meet Jesus physically face to face. How important is it to forget and forgive everything he has done. There are sometimes other people will not forget even if one has asked for forgiveness. But one can manage to forget and forgive themselves so I think it is more important than what others say and mean. And we go out to meet the target, we see and walk on.
14 and drives towards the goal and win the prize for which God from on high has called us in Christ Jesus.
Like being on a track sees Paul for the Christian life. Along the way there are wonderful and important experience, but the focus must not be disregarded. It is to get the goal and with a victory wreath around the head. There are no shortcuts or opportunities to cheat in order to reach. And there is a high calling. No one has a higher calling than us Christians. We have in view: 2 Pet.3. 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
15 How should we see it, all of us who have reached maturity. And if you see different on something, God will give you clarity in it.
We Christians will live together not only during the 1000 year Empire and then in eternity. But here and now. But we have come differently to our spiritual maturity and we look differently on many things. But God will provide clarity in this.
16 Let us only so far we have come, keep up the same track!
But it is important to accept other people even go back on what God has shown. It's strange when someone has seen believers baptism, but rejects this and signs up to the State church. State church is overdue to be closed, it has surpassed itself many times. Luther was a wonder-working man of God, but he lived 500 years ago and reformed a lot. But it is totally unbiblical that fair and ugjenfødte shall belong to the same community.
17 Put me as a role model, you too, and look at those who follow the example we have given you.
Paul great role model was Christ. But there is something to be a role model, but something else to live up to it. Paul managed it with his decision and by the Spirit. Paul had continued to follow the regulations and arrangements had led to the hatred, bigotry and party spirit. But Jesus' love had melted his heart after he met her Savior on the road to Damascus (Ap.gj.9.). The love of Jesus had done Paul for a successor and could also have him to model.
18 I have said it often and have to say it again with tears that there are many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.
It's a pain to see that other believers fall short, often time after time. We are a body, when a member suffers and feels pain spread it over all others. Psalm 119 158 I look with disgust at the treacherous, do not keep your word. Unfortunately there are still "Judas" which is among the believers, who do not have the wedding garment on. But we must distinguish between misleading and being misled. And between cheaters and those that fail to.
19 They end up in hell, they have the stomach to the god and takes pride in what is a shame for them, and they are only concerned with earthly things.
It shows, unfortunately, time and again that there are too many who take it easy at all. God is rich NOK for all but one have to open up and let him in.. When pleasure and deeds of the flesh can take root even in the believer's heart and mind. This can and will be lost if one does not repent again (Ezekiel 33). (End of quote).
