Nr. 110:
Did God die on the cross? Who died on Calvary?
By Evangelist and Bible teacher Jan Kåre Christensen
1. Tim. 1. 17 He who is king of eternity, the immortal, invisible, only God, him being price and glory forever and ever! Amen.
God can not die, he is indestructible and is from everlasting to everlasting.
Psalm 90 2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world was, indeed, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
God is the same from eternity to eternity.
But Jesus died and with it we will come in a very strong issue about Jesus was God or he was there. And n ar he had given up on this?
What does the word of God?
It is only the Father who is from eternity and he is The only true God, no other - or do we believe in Jesus only and Trinity then comes in a very strong conflict situation. The puzzle will not go up.
Jesus only teaches short in OT was God the Father, as Jesus was God and ceased to be God by the resurrection and ascension. Then God the Holy Spirit. It is God who operates in a variety of features and it was God who died on the cross!
Trinity teacher claims that God is Trinity from eternity to eternity. There are three Gods who are equal in honor, power and great glory. Jesus was God from all eternity, and it is for eternity. The Holy Spirit is God from everlasting to everlasting Father likewise. That one will have three Gods to be a God is also quite suspect and a mathematical impossibility.
When Jesus died on Calvary when Jesus died God always is and was God of the Trinity vision and learning.
But when we study history so the trinity teachings many times rewritten the bible for it to vote. Or you go with the Catholic phrase that it is a mystery, or that only have one believe. Unbelievable what some people can bring themselves to believe. God has given us intelligence and common sense for us to use it and not dismiss it. When there is not enough. So we believe. But here is the opposite, depreciation mind and just "believe", Trinity is a mystery.
But it is the opposite, the mystery was revealed in Christ at his coming.
1. Tim 3 16 And which all must confess, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed in the world, taken up in glory.
In the basic text and after what many Bible investigators believe it should been Christ here as referring to Christ.
Therefore, this verse written as:
1. Tim 3 16 And which all must confess, great is the mystery of godliness: Christ was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed in the world, taken up in glory.
Then we begin to understand that Jesus was God became man filled out and blank was lower than the angels in his earthly life days. Jesus was not God when he walked on earth, but got his job back after the resurrection.
So said Thomas after the resurrection.
Joh.e. 20. 26 Eight days later the disciples were again gathered, and Thomas was with them. Then came Jesus, the doors were closed, he stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here and see my hands, and came with his hand and put it in my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing! "28" My Lord and my God! "Said Thomas.
Therefore, Jesus also depend on to complete his work of salvation, or so he had even been lost. By that I mean that God invested 100% in Jesus and he had failed so had all mankind been lost, he even inclusive. So much was at stake when Jesus came. All or nothing! White or twice!
But because he won the victory so he bought mankind back to God.
It's allowed to say a loud hallelujah and stop and praise the Lord himself now!
Who died on Calvary?
God? No, but the Son of Man Jesus Christ. And the man Christ Jesus, who was of flesh and blood like you and me and that was 100% dependent on the Holy Spirit that all believers are.
The scripture says on several occasions.
Matt. 26. 1. When Jesus had spoken these words, he said to his disciples: 2 "You know it's Easter in two days, and then shall the Son of man delivered to be crucified."
When Jesus was God again? Scripture is clear.
Room 1 4 by the Spirit of holiness appointed as God's mighty Son as he rose from the dead.
Had Jesus not lost his title and position as it had never been a need to say that Jesus is appointed and given the position again? Of course not.
I am a father but I have not always been there but it has always been a latent Father in me. But when I got my first-born daughter was my father.
Or to put it another way. It is the people who are reinstated in his position after having been dismissed or been dismissed on improper grounds. So it was with Jesus biledelig spoken. After the resurrection he got everything back + much, much more!
After the resurrection he was the Lamb that was slain, was God again, and all who accept his saving work are the children of God and be his own corpse.
How is it with Jesus, Jesus has always been latent God but it was only after he had completed the saving and rose from the dead that he was fully God. This is somewhat circumscribed by human words, so that one should be able to grasp how much it cost the Father to give up on Jesus and how much it cost Jesus to be the struggle and suffering out.
Rooms. 8. 31 What shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son but gave him up for us all, he can do nothing but give us all things with him?
This is of course a simplification and not the whole picture of this great and powerful themes.
But Jesus died on the cross as a man and forsaken by all, even God the Father.
Matt. 27. 45 From the sixth hour rested a darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46 At the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" It means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
Dead God on the cross? Who died on Calvary?
Not God, for he can not die, but the man Jesus Christ. Jesus was 100% man and after his soningsdød he was raised.
File 2 6 He was God,
but did not see it as stolen
to be equal with God.
7 He renounced his own,
took on a slave
And people were equal.
In his way he was as a human being;
8 he humbled himself
and became obedient to death-even death on a cross.
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him
and gave him the name above every name,
10 that every knee shall bow in Jesus name,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth;
11 and every tongue confess
Jesus Christ is Lord, to God the Father honor!
Jesus was God but renounced it in order to save us. He was God but took a chance on getting a man to save and redeem us for time and eternity.
After that he got his position and job back but at an even greater extent and degree than before. Therefore Jesus also honored and worshiped after his resurrection, even as God. But first and foremost as our Savior, Redeemer and Lord!
In eternity long must we sing of God and the Lamb's new song. It was not in vain redemption. Without this disgrace and pain no salvation, redemption and praise forever long!
Obvious. 15. They have harps in the hands of God 3 and sang the song of praise to God's servant Moses song, it is also the song of the Lamb:
Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are thy ways, the people's king.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For you alone are holy. All nations shall come and worship before thee,
because your judgments have been obvious.
The more I read the documentation that both Jesus only doctrine and the doctrine of the Trinity is wrong and unbiblical teachings. These teachings do not go together with the biblical message.
It is the only one who is from eternity to eternity, the Father, and he has only one son who is just like him and has shown us who he is, Jesus Christ.
Bible commentaries from janchristensen.net Hebrews
2 But now, when the last time has come, he has spoken to us through the Son. Him God hath appointed heir of all things, through whom he created the world.
Now, by the Son. Joh. e. 1 17 For the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. By whom he created the world to make Jesus the same level as God, yet he is not that the Father is the origin of everything.
Kol. 1. 15 He is the invisible image of God,
the firstborn, which is above all created things.
16 For in him all things were created,
in heaven and on earth,
the visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions,
principalities or authorities -
All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 He is before all things,
and all composed by him.
Father does nothing, but by and through the Son.
3 He is the radiance of God's glory and the image of his being, and he carries all by his powerful word. When he had completed the purification of our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Kol.1. 18 he is the head of the body, which is the church.
He is the origin,
the firstborn from the dead;
he looked for one and all can be first.
Jesus is both the largest and foremost. He is the first to have passed out of the Father. As the Father created and the only one like him. He exudes the Father that he is without that it is in fragments. As it was with the Prophet and all other people. Kol.1. 17a He is before all things.
When he became a man he served our sin and then sat down at the Father's right hand!
But Jesus gave up everything to be you and me equal and died in our place as an atoning sacrifice, and that is human like us of flesh and blood. Therefore, when the STAK his side after his death as confirmed also that it was not God who died on Calvary, but the Son of Man.
Joh.e. 19. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water. 35 And he who has seen it, he has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he is true, that ye also may believe.
This is of course difficult lessons but still necessary. Jesus was a human like us and was dependent on the Holy Spirit and he never did anything out of his Godhead power but all he did, he led by the Holy Spirit. Therefore he had to seek God that we need and be taught by him and in God, he was strong and won the victory.
Bible commentaries from janchristensen.net Hebrews:
5. 7 At the time Jesus lived on earth, bad and he pleaded with loud cries and tears to him who could save him from death, and he was heard because he was pious.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, we see how the rewarding Jesus was the Father's will. Father himself had decided that Jesus His own Son to die for all human sin! But for Jesus - as a person - it was a struggle to implement it.
8 Though he were a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.
Jesus was the first Father created and which it is paid attention to him like. Yet had he stood ready. First, to please the Father, then to suffer and die for us. This was God the Father self-determined.
9 When he had made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
But the fight, disgrace and all that was fighting fully ended on the cross. After the cross followed the exaltation that went into two divisions. Resurrection and Ascension. Through all this he has brought to pass a perfect salvation for all.
We read it again and again the word of God, Jesus was human and was no longer in the bosom of the Father.
Bible commentaries from janchristensen.net Hebrews:
10. 5 Therefore says Christ at his coming to the world:
Sacrifices and gifts you would not have,
but a body made you able to me;
We read that he also had to be one of us to save and redeem us.
Joh. e. 1 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
6 burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not care.
It was not the Father's perfect will that animals die so that some people should go free. But that he might be able to have mercy and show mercy to the children of Israel as it seemed a temporary and partial remission of sins. But it was only when the Son Jesus Christ that life and immortality were brought to light and we human children could fully take part in salvation and a complete remission of sins.
7 Then said I: Behold, here I come to do thy will, O God. The scroll is written about me.
Jesus did the will of God to the letter. But he also had the necessary qualifications to be able to do it completely. It was all for him.
Joh. e. 4 34 But Jesus said to them: "My food is to do what he wants that sent me, and to complete his work.
8 First he said, "Sacrifices and gifts, burnt offerings and sin offerings you would not have and did you not care," yet it is such sacrifices carried out by law.
Had the law brought perfection, eternal bliss and salvation had the law been good NOK and sacrifices, gifts, burnt offerings and sin offerings have been able to save. Had there been any sense that the Lord Jesus came.
9 Then he said: "Look, here I come to do thy will." He thus nullify the first mentioned, to let the other stand.
At Jesus' entry into the world on a switch. All that the law is to be replaced with the grace and life in Christ Jesus. In the fourth chapter of Galatians, Paul says so much when he writes. That he compares the law with the slave woman and what should one do with her? Gal. 4. 30 But what does the Scripture say? Get rid of the slave woman and her son! For the slave woman's son will not share the inheritance with the free woman's son. 31 Therefore, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free woman.
When it comes to different views on God and the Godhead, I believe that it is not always a critical salvation issues. But to have a healthy and correct spiritual development has much to say.
As I see it as Jesus is only closer to the truth a trinity but they both have the right understanding of God's word as God here is divided up or it is a God of many functions and roles. And it is that God Himself died on the cross really is blasphemy and the devil who had the upper hand!
We read in John 3 16 known as the little Bible that Jesus is God's only begotten son. But in the original writings as it has after all been soaking marks of God's only Son. And in John 17 3 states of the Father and the Son of the following: 3 And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God, whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
It is the same which stands here for the Father of the Son, the only one.
We read many places in the word of God that Jesus was 100% man and then he was just as dependent on the Holy Spirit as we are, 100%.
1. Tim. 2. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all. Such was his testimony when the time came, 7, and for that I am set to herald and apostle. This is true, I do not lie. I am a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
This is to proclaim that Jesus in his jordliv was a true man and not God that brought salvation to pass tells Paul that this was an essential element of his message.
Notice the wording and how strongly Paul commented on this, one God, Father and a man, Jesus Christ.
Here we must say that both Jesus and the Trinity only teachings that claim that God died on the cross is completely out of cranberries turn in relation to God's word. There is not hold in what is claimed and preached!
That man was Jesus Christ who bore our sin, sickness and punishment on him and he was abandoned by all, even God the Father left him and he was made sin in our place. The fact that he was made sin indicates that Jesus did not die as God but as a human being (God can not tolerate sin and God can not die). There is only one that is the only true God who is God from eternity to eternity, the Father.
Jesus gave up on this (being in the form of God) to be you and me the same.
I will not let traditions and human opinions be crucial, but what does God's word on this. We bring to the closing of janchristensen.net
Bible Commentary Hebrews.
2. 13 Furthermore, I will put my trust in him.
And yet somewhere, Behold I and the children God has given me.
The fact that this deals with Jesus there is no doubt. He is not ashamed to call us brothers. God has set its bit to Jesus, therefore, can and he will rely also on us!
14 Since the children are people of flesh and blood, he also had to be human as they. How would he by his death destroy him as ruler of death, the devil,
Jesus was human and not an angel. Without that he had been one of us had not he been able to save and redeem us from sin, bondage and death that is our last enemy that Jesus also defeated.
1 Cor. 15. 54 And when that happens, and this corruptible and mortal has been clothed with incorruptibility and immortality, then fulfilled that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory
15 and free those who through fear of death were in bondage all their lives.
All that has gone before, both those who lived then and we are living today is salvation included. If we are to see death and not get to experience rapture, salvation just as great, wonderful and safe.
16 It is not angels he takes care of, but he takes care of the seed of Abraham.
Here it is again, that's not the angels that God's goal but us humans. And the blessing is within reach only through partaking of the same faith that Abraham had and then we are also part of his family.
Gal. 3. 14 This happened so that the Gentiles through Jesus Christ to share in the blessing that was promised to Abraham, and that by faith to receive the Spirit as it was promised.
17 Therefore he had in all things be like His brothers, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God and atone for their sin.
Through Jesus not only remained to be with God and be like him in his likeness. But were a man, and knew everything we do. Then flip him our perfect high priest.
18 Because he himself suffered, being tempted, he can help those who are tempted.
Jesus was the struggle and suffering, and he has full understanding of being human. But he is not on the distance and believe we can and must do battle alone. He will help us come to the aid of his Spirit will strengthen, guide, comfort and complete us!
