Nr. 75:
Various Christian sects, who are they?
By Jan Kaare Christensen
Oslo
What is a cult and who are they? Various Christian sects, who are they? For me, a sect that emphasizes the entire truth. But shorten it and add something to yourself. The word sect comes from the Latin "sectus" which means split. The related term sector means "part of the whole." The different NT versions translated the Greek word "hairesis" with a "sect" or "party". "Hairesis" means a group that has a predilection for a particular part / sector / selection of the truth. But a cult can also be a group that perverts the truth.
It was exactly what Jesus warned against doing.
Standard Comments Revelation 22 18 I say to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book;
Here are some really strict word, yes a message, not least about our time when one would think that had the best prior sentences to follow God's word. The problems that one here will get can not be anything other than the second death - the lake of fire or hell. How I see it than so severe it is.
19 and if anyone takes away some of the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, as it is written in this book.
Here we encounter the same thing just rewritten. Now it's pulling anything away from God's word in question. If we pull something out to our part of heaven being taken away. Do not have access to the tree of life and come into the place or city, the New Jerusalem. This is about to do or is it not? To me this means everything!
When we are basically in it, it's actually all the Christian churches a cult!
I have yet to find a single Christian community or church based on God's word. It's just part of God's word, they always add something to. Therefore, we consider that all Christian churches, movements and churches are a Christian sect!
David saw something in the Spirit and out from it so his son Solomon built the temple. How have I in youth have seen in youth who do I have to classify all the Christian churches as Christian sects.
We read about the glorious churches of the first Christians. As the church in Jerusalem, Antioch and Ephesus. It is such a wonderful church that everyone must be our goal. I write about this here:

To proclaim the whole counsel of God to salvation has been my passion since his youth. And do not put anything in writing or drawing something from too.
It falls all the parishes through, but we believe that God will raise up churches and preachers who truly preach the whole counsel of God to salvation and holds nothing back or add something to.
Here is a brief overview of all Christian sects:
The Catholic church:
Purgatory.
The Catholic Church does not teach about hell as a real alternative. There will come only if you have a desire. Otherwise you get a chance to review what they call "purgatory" Before, this was the literal meaning of fire, but if you had money you could buy yourself off from it. Now is this replaced by a kind of abstract "cathartic state." They say little about how it takes place there, but it will certainly not be so terribly bad.
The doctrine of purgatory is based primarily on two passages in the Bible. One is Matthew 12:32. It talks about Jesus the unpardonable sin which can not be forgiven either in this world (or "age" in some translations), or the next. From here, they draw the conclusion that it is otherwise possible to be forgiven sin in the world. This I would say is to read too much into this verse. Especially in light of other passages as Matthew 25:10-13 and Luke 13:23-25, which clearly state that you have one chance. After that, there is no possibility. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin (1 John 1:7). It is our salvation. If you accept this, then you will be completely cleaned. If not, then there is nothing that can cleanse you.
The second passage used to defend the doctrine of purgatory is 1 Cor 3:15. It says that the individual's "spiritual construction" should be tried with fire, but even if it does not pass you should even be saved, but "as through fire". This verse tells us about how our salvation is not dependent on our performance and our "building", but that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our lord and savior. So if our building collapses, then it is acidic and will NOK to pay on the human level, but our salvation does not depend on it. In addition, it may be worth noting that Paul is talking about something that will happen "on the last day" while the Catholic doctrine says that purgatory occurs immediately after death.
If your right eye tempt thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee! for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish than that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matt 5:29
Thus we can conclude that purgatory fans have little to show for the Word of God. Especially when the rest of the Bible says otherwise. According to the Bible hell is a very real possibility, as they repeatedly are warned against. For example, Matthew 5:29, Matthew 7:13, etc.
Saints.
The Catholic Church has saints. And they ask them for prayer. But what is really a saint? Yes it is a normal human being after his death, has been canonized by the Vatican. An ordinary man, who may have lived a life more in line with Catholic teaching than most others, but that's all. Trying to communicate with the dead is by definition evocation, something the Bible in several places condemns in the strongest. I know of no biblical justification for the practice of saint worship.
"And I will not call anyone on earth your father, for one is your Father, who art in heaven." (Matthew 23:9). The word "pope" means "father."
The Pope is another thing the Catholic church has that has no roots in the Bible. The Catholic tradition dictates that the pope is the successor to the disciple Simon Peter. To him, Jesus says that "upon this rock I will build my church" (Matthew 16:18). Peter was also a central figure in the creation of the first church. One of the Pope's titles is "the vicar of Christ". A task that certainly was given to the Holy Spirit (See eg. John 14:25-26)
Faith or works?
This is perhaps the most serious flaw in the Catholic doctrine. The Bible says we are saved by faith (Mark 16:16, John 3:16, Romans 10:9, etc.) The Catholic Church teaches, however, that deeds are the way to salvation. You must confess so and so often, you should be anointed with the last rites before you die, etc. It makes Catholicism an act of religion. You have to perform religious acts for salvation. (Or words as to avoid purgatory, which is not really that bad anyway.) But it must also be mentioned that the Bible sets a relationship between faith and works. Belief in God, if it is true, automatically lead to certain actions. Not religious acts, but good works, evangelism, etc.
The Lutheran Church
Is a place between the Catholic church and independent congregation.
They teach the children \ infant is Satan's children through original sin and should and must be baptized to be a child of God. This is of course a lie. They are a national church as God's word warns against when the righteous and the wicked shall not stand together. They are of course more educated clergy in the Lutheran church an independent congregation that allows them, after all, is not so foreign to God's word that most non-conformist congregations are.
Various free churches
Here I can mention Baptists, free friends (not many friends are there too), Methodists, Missionary Church, Maranta, etc.
All these have in common that they are something between the Pentecostal movement and the Lutheran church. They believe the unbiblical doctrine of the Trinity, an eternal burning hell where God will torment and torture people for eternity is an old medieval doctrine that is actually from ancient Egypt and Greece. They baptize in three titles not in the name of Jesus which the early Christians. All the directions are a Christian sect!
Messiah believer
This is an offspring of true Christian faith as the Word of God warns against it. We will not return to the law, the Sabbath and Jewish regulations. But while I have great sympathy for them when the church or the church has forsaken the Lord at all points so emphatically.
They learn directly about the Deity: Yahweh and Yeshua communal spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Bible's expression of Yahweh and Yeshua's presence.
But wrong about the Christian life and faith:
Yahweh's Torah, His Sabbath, and his festival is for all biblical and Jeshuatroende people and should not be substituted by man-made holidays and traditions.
This is not true when we in the New Testament and the New Covenant will not follow the Jewish holidays and the law. It is our dead from living our lives for God, and him alone!
The Pentecostal \ Charismatic movement
Matt. 23. 2 in Moses' seat is the scribes and Pharisees. 3 All the things they say, you shall therefore make and keep. But what they do, do not notify you by. For they say one and do something else.
PB and TB may seem very biblical out, as did the Pharisees, and Jesus commended them to learn right about many things. So it is with the PB and TB, it is more of a Christian sect one most people realize. They lack substance, content and context of their faith and doctrine. One can compare it with having the right recipe, but due to lack of experience and education is the chef unfit and dangerous. It does not help to have a lot of jurisprudence, when it seems counterproductive.
We know that it is possible to run 100 meters in 10 seconds, but to achieve it as there is a lot of training behind. That is exactly what is PB and TB major dilemma. They believe in a great God, but to share in what he has, it lacks an understanding, desire and will to go on the road as it costs to share in his blessings, it makes it to be a Christian sect, and not a true Christian movement.
This I could have written much about, but there is a lack of the substance, understanding and desire to get into the way of the Lord with their lives and communities.
If we add that there is much heresy, especially in TB, so we understand that this is also a Christian sect, when we compare the movement and the churches with the Word of God.
They also think further on the false trinity doctrine, an eternal burning hell where God will torment all of eternity. Meanwhile, remarriage and hilarious morality with rock music to the youth especially common. It just reinforces that the PB and TB are a Christian sect, at least here in Norway and the Nordic countries.
While there is much double standards and manipulation very common to come from a low level of knowledge, both spiritual and secular levels. Viewing some improvement, but it's a bottom line of the Pentecostal \ Charismatic movement that is experience of Christianity. As always is and remains a derailment. It is God's word to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Then comes the experience of # 2 but it should always be checked against the word of God. And have a "great" spiritual experiences need not be a sign of a holy life, but the opposite. Moses experienced his greatest during when he was disobedient, by turning on the rock. And the water poured out anyway!
Jesus ONLY \ Nardus
Norwegian Founded Pentecostal orientation, among other things, denying the Trinity and baptize his followers in Jesus' name alone. The movement was founded by "Apostle" Torkild Terk early 1980 counts today in just under 300 members in 5-6 local meetings and a few small home groups.
Terk originally came from the Pentecostal movement, broke with this, having assumed its not Trinitarian view of the Godhead. In addition to denying the Trinity worship Nardus so-called predestinasjonsdogmet (predestination) and you claim that the Catholic Church is Babylon the great whore of Revelation. Further claims Nardus that the Protestant churches and organizations are "harlot daughters."
Nardusbevegelsen who himself guardian to be perceived as embarrassing Saints, according to former members strongly influenced by the impurity and liberal attitudes toward remarriage, premarital sex and alcohol. However, both the use of tobacco and contemporary Christian music condemned by the cult.
In recent years the movement has experienced significant spalling and a number of famous Nardusnavn have either left voluntarily or sect and was rejected.
Brunstad Christian Center (Smith's friends)
Norwegian formed sect that has gained international distribution. The sect that has local congregations in several cities were founded by John O Smith in 1900. The sect that international counter approx. 30 000 members have 6000 members in Norway.
Sect characteristics are tongues, loud screaming and a "shouting preaching."
Sect growth is primarily due to the fact that members have many children. The movement sees itself as the only true. The sect reviews other churches as "skjøgesekter!"
Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall
International sect with offices in nearly all Norwegian cities. Is perhaps the most famous cult in Norway. In Norway, the witnesses counts about 15,000 members, ca. 10 000 considers itself to be active. The sect members refused to participate in civic duties such as elections and military service.
Sect members are celebrating not Christmas or other holidays, and they refuse to receive blood transfusions. Defectors from the sect claims that it is committed tough justice within and that former members and outcasts are treated as if they were hit by the plague. The sect reviews other Christians as "pigs class" Jehovah's Witnesses were founded by Charles Taze Russell and the sect has published his own translation of the Bible, the so-called "new world translation." The sect operates an extensive recruiting efforts throughout the world and is very active in spreading their religious message.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (Mormons)
International large sect founded by Joseph Smith Jr.. in 1830 when he published the Book of Mormon to be equated with the Bible, sect that has its headquarters in Salt Lake City USA operates an extensive missionary work throughout the world. The sect sends annually thousands of young well-dressed Americans who conveys the message of the angel Mormoni to the world's people.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is one of the biggest Trinity denying church community that exists.
The movement counts millions of members and believe both the Bible and the Book of Mormon.
In Norway counts movement that is easily visible with their young American and suit-clad missionaries more than 4000 members.
Adventists \ Seventh Day Adventist
Seventh-day Adventist desperate arguments to keep the parts of the Mosaic law as an ordinance for Christians today, so you can see just how they wrap themselves into the most foolish contradiction of the word of truth, as we did at Paul. Even after Paul spent so much effort and so much to learn to convince the believers that we are saved outside the law, then point argues Adventists. Sabbath as claimed by them, is demonstrably skjaltet out. The same regulations concerning festivals and cuisine.
