Nr. 246:
Prayer!
John. Gospel. 16. 23a On the day you will have no more to ask me about.
On the day referring to the day of Pentecost when the Spirit would be given to all believers and not just a few of the old covenant.
Then we have to use prayer as essentially is to talk with God, and he with me.
Obvious. 3. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
We will look at why ask and how to pray. And what we can expect to have to ask.
Why ask? How to pray? What can we expect? To provide an answer to this is impossible when the prayer includes as much.
How to pray I do not think first and foremost on what position you have, it is to me of secondary importance.
1) Pray to Jesus, He intercedes for all believers today.
The Holy Spirit does not intercede for us as it is falsely claimed in Romans chapter 8, but Jesus does. I have written an article about this, here come a little excerpt: Romans 8 26 in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know what to ask to be right, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs without words. 27 And he who searches the hearts knows what the Spirit will, for the Spirit prays for the saints according to God's will.
If the Spirit intercedes for us or is it a mistranslation? It says that the Spirit will help us in our weakness. It is 100% biblically correct and this, I also experience. But if the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs without words? The basic text is the following: the Spirit comes into us with groanings unspeakable. Furthermore, iv 27 it says again: he enters the Saints.
What is it? It means that we do our part, please. Then the Spirit's help, supernatural help and make that our prayer is complete. How do we experience this? We begin to ask, so after a time, we do no more. Then the Spirit's help. We pray and pray, but then comes in and makes the Spirit that we pray through as the "old" so often put it. It is not the length that is decisive, but the Spirit comes to our aid. It comes in for us! Nor should it stood: but the Spirit himself completes us, with supernatural guidance.
But Jesus has a prayer service for us. This is from my comments biblical Hebrews chapter 7 25 Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
The fact that Jesus died and rose again the foundation of his ongoing ministry. His biggest and most important service for us is that he prays for the believer and advocate in past the Father. That this is so little taught about is a tragedy.
John. AD 17 9 I pray for them. I pray not for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
1. John. b 2 1. My children, that I write unto you that ye shall not sin. But if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
2) Pray to the Father in Jesus' name.
We are encouraged in the Word of God to pray to our Heavenly Father, but it will happen in the name of Jesus, in no other name.
John. AD 16 23 At that day ye shall have no more to ask me about. Verily, verily, I say to you, if you ask the Father anything, he will give it to you in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be complete.
The secret to a strong and fruit-bearing Christian life and prayer life also. Is having a right view of Jesus. He is our substitute and our of man. Both in terms of salvation and prayer.
1. Tim. 2. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all. Such was the testimony given in its proper time.
With confidence, we will do this. And the courage Hebrews speaks of, it is the courage we should not throw away. Courage in the blood of Jesus to pray and go right into the sanctuary, and put everything to God, everything.
3) Pray in tongues or in the Spirit.
1. Kor. 14. 13 Therefore, the one who speaks in tongues, pray to interpret what he says. 14 For if I pray, and then speaks in tongues, it is my spirit prays, but my mind does not have any benefit from it. 15 What then? I will pray with the spirit, but also intellectually, I will sing with the spirit, but also intellectually.
18 I thank God I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 But in the church, I would rather speak five words with my mind and teach others than ten thousand words in tongues.
I am of the lucky group of Christians in several areas. One of them is that I never after I became a Christian 16 years old has been an apostate. Nor have I ended up in divorce, and disability of such things, which I thank God for.
But what is the secret to this? First of all God's grace and that I have made some provisions, which I also thank God for.
Next to it so I will mention two things. I've always enjoyed being active with exercise, study and work. It is beneficial and healthy.
Secondly, I have always, or almost always practiced that when spiritual struggle and struggle in my flesh grow. It is to speak in tongues to myself, perhaps again and again. This practice Paul and secure all the other apostles. We read in verse 18: "I thank God I speak in tongues more than all of you."
Paul practiced speaking in tongues in salary kamerbønn more than any others, and God was with. There, I recommend the hottest and best of all believers to do. Therefore, it is about to do to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with tongues as a sign and practice speaking in tongues regularly kamerbønnen your salary. Especially when the spiritual pressure is large and intensively.
He who speaks in tongues speaks mysteries to God in the Spirit it is said in v. 2 Because the text states: "No in fact belong." When one speaks in tongues there is one on one frequency and wavelength where only I \ we and God are. Not Satan, demons or any other people. Speak a lot and in the Spirit, in tongues in your prayer closet, also sing scripture says.
v. 15b I will pray with the spirit, but also intellectually, I will sing with the spirit, but also intellectually.
4) Pray with expectation.
God is our Father, Father said yes right font. When a child comes to the Father and ask for something, then expect him \ her to both be heard, understood and few. Or it's not healthy and the right relationship of trust between children and father. How is it with us and God? Do not recite the many words but came past your heavenly Father with the expectation that both he hears and answers!
5) Be specific and direct.
1. Joh.b. 5. 14 And this confidence we have in him that he hears us when we ask anything according to His will. 15 And when we know that he hears us-whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.
For more specific and to the point you are with God, to more specific and he can work with and for you. What do you want and what do you need? All this and much more is there to be concrete and pray directly to God. It is not certain that one should pray to the Lord every time. There are times where one must talk with God and pray for guidance, but one should first wish some of the Lord, Jesus asked the people when he walked on earth: "What shall I do for you." So ask him today and his church!
6) Ask for and with others.
Job 42 10 When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord turned his fate. He gave him twice as much as he had before.
There is a secret in prayer to pray for me and others. It was Job's friends in no way behaved and acted as some friends, but Job prayed for them and even experienced deliverance, prayer answers and that the Lord gave him what he had promised him. Prayer for others, who do not deserve it. And those who need and deserve it, pray for others is a true believer's service.
7) Pray regularly.
Daniel 6 11 So when Daniel learned that the letter was sent out, he went into his house. The roof chamber he had windows facing Jerusalem. Three times a day he fell on his knees before his God in prayer and praise, just as he had done before. 12 Then these men came rushing in and found Daniel while he prayed and called upon his God.
Daniel prayed regularly and he lived to please the Lord in a special way. It is a movement, the Methodists who built much of its movement based on this. To live a life that is systematic and pray regularly. Therefore, the proposed Methodist means method. A way of life. I think there is much to gain by living here and to pray regularly. If one feels upstairs or down, if one has good or bad time.
8) Let the salvation of souls and åndsutgytelse be priority No. 1
It is important to learn to pray. Everything should and we can ask for.
File. 4. 6 Be anxious for nothing! But let all that you are on your mind, come to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving! 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
But it is something that stands above all, both how we pray and God works. s
1 Tim. 2. 1. And now I urge you above all to offer the prayers and supplications, prayers and thanks for all people. 2 Ask for kings and all who have a high position, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life, which is characterized by the fear of God and win respect. 3 This is good and acceptable before God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and learn the truth.
Here we see how to pray, but why should we pray and what is most important? We read in verse 4 who desires all men to be saved and learn the truth.
9) Be resourceful in prayer.
We read about many of God's men and women, it was that they did everything they could to prevent the will of God would come through
Study the prayer giants like patriarchs Abraham and Jacob. Nehemiah, Hosea, Daniel, Job and many others. They prayed and they received no answers to prayer as soon as they bargained with God. Was inventive, and found it a way out of things and never gave up!
10) In prayer, God will impart to you personally.
It's not just that we should pray, but we must also learn to listen and let God communicate with us.
What speaks the Lord to you personally? There is no need to say to the other first day, maybe never? But let God speak to you. Let Jesus come close to you and whisper in your ear what he wants, wishes and have plans for your life. For your church, your town and country. Your country and there may be other things that I have mentioned here. But my experience is when God speaks you must take care of it as something precious and act on it. It's so easy to hear from God and so we forget to take it at a NOTAM and follow it.
James 1 22 You must do what the Word says, not just hear it, otherwise you will deceive yourself. 23 For he who hears the word without having to do it, he resembles a man who sees his face in a mirror: 24 He looks at it, go away and forget once how he looked.
What can we expect to be, or is it just a Christian employment and something one should do? No, we can expect and believe that God hears when we pray.
From janchristensen.net commentaries Philip Wiper letter:
4. 6 Be anxious for nothing! But let all that you are on your mind, come to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving!
Being concerned about is human but it is sin. God cares for us. Adding it all before God, write it down (Isaiah 37). I can witness thousands of answers to prayer, large and small. But I still have many needs and also unresolved answers to prayer. Why does God sometimes and other times not? By asking open one up to God in their life and to others. Therefore to pray regularly and be prosperous, do not give up so easily. Prayer answer is coming, just hold out a little time.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
A sky joy and peace sky should lower down and in us. We do not need to fuss about God every time we turn to him. He will listen and give us what we ask for. It is keeping to pray and be active as a Christian. Spiritual laziness creates a lot of frustration and aggression. Pray, read God's word and be an active meeting gangs creates peace and happiness, as long as one makes it to the Lord.
It is not a single site about our life and ministry we can not be allowed to bring before the Lord. Absolutely all areas, all things and aspects that affect our lives and ministry.
Be it family life, friends, work, school and what it means to be. God hears prayers and are so generous that he has al the world's time and resources to spend on both the individual and not only that. But all we ask for, even believers. It's wonderful, it's not something that is more glorious and greater than to pray and have a prayer service for all!
Rooms. 10. 11 Scripture says, No one who believes in him shall be ashamed. 12 For here there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile. All have the same Lord, and he is rich enough for all who call upon him. 13 Everyone who calls on the Lord's name shall be saved.
What is important and rich in Christian life? As is also the strengthening of faith?
Shall I say one thing of many things. It is to pray and experience to get answers to prayer!
