Nr. 154:
Hananiah opposite Jeremiah
Jeremiah 28 1. In the same year, at the beginning of Zedekiah king of Judah government, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, said Hananiah, son of Assyria, the prophet from Gibeon, to me in the house of the priests and all the people's presence: 2 Thus saith the Lord Almighty God, the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3 In two years I will bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord's house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took from this place and brought to Babylon. 4 And the king of Judah Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, and all the exiles from Judah who have come to Babylon, I will bring back to this place, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet saw the priests and all the people who stood in the house, heard it - 6 Prophet Jeremiah said, Amen! It make the Lord! LORD fulfill the words that you prophesied, as he leads the men in the house and all the exiles back from Babylon to this place! 7 Yet hear now this word that I speak for your and for all the people's ears: 8 The prophets that have gone before me and before thee of old, they prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms about war and disaster and plague. 9 The prophet who prophesies peace, when his words come true, as anyone can see that he is a prophet of the Lord truly sent. 10 Then the prophet Hanna yoke of the prophet Jeremiah, neck and broke it in pieces. 11 And Hananiah said in the presence of all the people: Thus saith the Lord: Thus, I will in two years' break in pieces the king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar's yoke and take it by all peoples neck. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12 But after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke and put it by the prophet Jeremiah neck, the LORD said to Jeremiah, saying, 13 Go and tell Hananiah, 'Thus says the Lord: a yoke of wood, you have broken in pieces but instead of it you have made a yoke of iron. 14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: A yoke of iron I have all these people kind of neck, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they shall serve him: and beasts of the field have I given him. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, and you've got these people to put their trust in a lie. 16 Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will take you away from the earth: in that year you shall die, because you have preached rebellion against the LORD. 17 And Hananiah the prophet died the same year, in the seventh month.
Match between the fellow
The example here we find, is a classic example. There are always two opposites will oppose each other, even within its church of God and those who profess themselves as believers. Cain and Abel, where the first two brothers, they were spiritual "competitors" in which God heard the one but not the other. History repeats itself, but only with this. The fact that people hear very often and lend their ears more easily to the false prophets than true and genuine prophets. This we learn from this history, therefore it is also so informative!
Hananiah forkynnte and prophesied
He was not lazy this Hananiah. Very often they are false prophets very energetic and knows how to elbow their way, so that this Hananiah. But he forkynnte no truth, and the way he preached apostasy. He prophesied falsehood in the name of the Lord. It was that Israel would only be in prison for two years, not 70 years of the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied. People will not hear the truth, what we experience today?
2. Tim. 4. 1. I testify before God and Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom: 2 Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine! 3 For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine, but after their own lusts take themselves teachers in droves, because the itching ears, 4, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and turn to adventure. 5 But you be sober in all things, suffer evil, do an evangelist, complete your service!
Espen Ottesen preach what itching ears
What is it to preach what itching ears? It is to preach and to stand for what people want, but not faith received the word and be one with the message of a preacher. A man who Espen Ottesen must be transparent. He goes just so far in his statements that he knows the people will tolerate. Secondly, he can preach against remarriage but the same day set up the Vision Norway and go in tandem with Pastor January Hanvold is super re-married and promoting a dissolute lifestyle. How long will God's people go against God's word?
2. Joh. b. 10 If anyone comes to you and do not lead this doctrine, then do not take him into your house and offer him welcome! 11 for the one who offers him welcome, being an accomplice with him in his evil deeds.
Jornstrand are from the same cloth
I like Evangelist Jornstrand before when he was one of the few that really emphasized evangelism with all his heart. But he also stood up for God's word, but when I pointed out the cavity against preaching against remarriage but to cooperate with Hanevold personal to him, when he knocked on the contrary, and scolded me for notes and said that I lacked social skills. Do NOK that he is one of the many who are preaching apostasy if it looks so nice with evangelism, etc. when not tolerate and would like others' opinions than their own!
Hananiah proclaimed that the people wanted, Jeremiah heard from God
It is not difficult to become a well liked and respected preacher today. Just give the people what they want, Christians are the most gullible people I can think of many away seeing. They will not have too big change, but always get the same "truths" served meet out and meet the. Can and will give them that, as a soon as a respected and accepted brotherhood that everyone feels "safe" and one that you can count on doing just that one, even. Hananiah was this one. But Jeremiah heard always first from God, and it also made him unpopular even if he conveyed the truth. The truth is many times very hard for people to swallow, but it will always prevail in the end!
What is to preach what itching ears?
We know what the serpent said to the Garden of Eden, "has God really said." This is always Satan's Strategy No. 1, confusing and changing the way of the Lord and God's word. This was and remains. This is why he now operates, he changes and obscure way of the Lord and God's will that we have been presented in the word of God.
What has he changed?
Satan has changed many things, "big" as "small" things, when all of God's word is important. He obscure relationship between man and woman, we can get married. But when only one and it should last a lifetime. Satan puts "burdens" on someone to refuse to marry or to marry one or several at a time, but the word says in one lifetime!
Hananiah was struck by God's Judgement
Jeremiah 28 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah!
We have a living God. Sooner or later will always be those who go out of the Word and allow the stuff that contradicts the Word come to shame. But it and those who faithfully follow the Word, it will go well with and they will prevail. I believe in a victorious Christianity, but it is for those who hold fast the word of God and follow Jesus closely in the life and teachings.
God's commandments are not heavy
1. Joh. b. 5 3 To love God is to keep His commandments. And his commandments are not grievous.
Going to the Lord's way and live pleasing in his sight is not difficult or umuligt, it's just that we make it so hard!
Fork. 7. 29 See, this is the only thing I have found: God created humans as they should be, but they try as many kinds of antics.
To walk with God, is the most natural thing, when you have a clean conscience and is honest and sincere. Then no one can hurt you, then the blood of Jesus covers you and the Lord cover you with grace.
Psalm 5 13 For you bless the righteous, O Lord! As with a shield, cover him with mercy.
Jeremiah remained faithful receive the Lord, even if Hananiah died
Jeremiah 25 2 and that the prophet Jeremiah spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: 3 From the king of Judah, Josiah, Amon's son's thirteenth year, and to this day, now three and twenty years, the word of the Lord came to me, and I have spoken to you early and late, but I did not hear. 4 And the Lord sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and late, but I did not hear, and I bowed not your ear to hear.
Even with small and negative results in people's eyes, it was Jeremiah's faithful receive the Lord and the Jewish people, for 23 years he preached to them night and day. But he showed them to be carried away to Babylon to be there for 70 years and then came back to Jerusalem and Israel. That's what's so wonderful to walk with God, we will always prevail in the end. We know how the "story" ends, it is glorious and triumphant to those walking with the Lord.
Asaf "liked" being in the presence of the Lord
This can be misunderstood, but to walk with the Lord is wonderful and great. Asaph had seen the wicked that it went so well with so many of them, until he went into the Lord's holy, he saw their demise. They were wiped out! But for those who walk with the Lord, it will always go to the victory. That is what we are made, to walk in the light when we are children of light, the world will be deceived.
Psalm 73 28 But for me it is good to keep me close to God, I put my trust in the Lord, the God of Israel, to tell all your deeds.
The Lord has spoken to me in the past, you know what he said? Take it easy and rest up a bit, I'll take care of everything! That is what is so great, everything is God's work and he is responsible for it all, not I or anyone else. There are so many weird and ugly rumors and opinions many might have about us, when we walk with the Lord. But Jesus said that we would expect, to be hated when they had hated him first! Should we give up or give in? No, it's just when the whole "fun" begins when Satan thinks he has taken the inner curve at us, then it is the Lord begins to "work" wonderful, great and true.
Psalm 68 2 God is raising him, his enemies be scattered, and those who hate him flee before him. 3 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melts to fire, the wicked perish before God. 4 And the righteous rejoice, they rejoice before God and delight themselves with joy.
God rises, this is where the secret of the truly great and glorious victories are. That's fine with fasting and prayer, etc. But it is as much for us this as the Lord in many ways when we need to be emptied and cleaned for our own. It is when the Lord begins to work with his words and spirit of the truly great and glorious victories happen. God can do more in 5 minutes than we do in the course of a lifetime. God is and remains the difference. He sits, he reigns, and he manages. Let him then take and get the full control and domination in your life and mine, then it is victory, joy and happiness in our hearts every day!
What is the Sabbath?
Finally, what is the Sabbath? It is when our deeds are not enough or we "give" up and God takes over. Adam and Eve were created on the 6th day and the first day for them was when the 7 which was the Sabbath. When God rested and man was created first to rest. When they had rested and had fellowship with God and each other, then came the work. This God has not changed even today. We shall first rest and society, then we do. We must not shuffle the order, or so goes the buzz and it is at the center and not Christ and God!
1. Joh. b. 1 3 what we have seen and heard, declare we and you, that and I can have fellowship with us, but our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
