No. 1509:
Intercession still for me and my family is required; it is at intercession that we win victories in the kingdom of God!

Lars Eritsland says: "More powerful than all the powers of darkness are the prayers of the saints" (Interpretation to John's Revelation)).
It is not many, so there are a lot of believers who have prayed for me, my family and the things we have been and are in. It is felt, thank you all, it not only warms. But through this we are victorious, yes more than victory says the Apostle Paul in Romans 8. 37 But in all this we gain more than victory by him who loved us.
"Greater than all the powers of darkness are the prayers of the saints."

Exodus 17: 8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will be at the top of the pile of God's rod in my hand. 10 And Joshua did as Moses had told him, and fought with Amalek; And Moses, Aaron and Hur rose at the top of the mound. 11 And it came to pass that as long as Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; but when he let his hand sink, Amalek got the upper hand. 12 And when Moses' hands were heavy, they took a stone, and laid it under him, and sat upon it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and the other on the other side; then his hands kept steady until the sun went down. 13 And Joshua smote Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this up in a book, and remember it, and print it in the ears of Joshua. For I will utterly destroy the memory of Amalek all over the earth. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called it, The LORD is my banner. 16 And he said, A hand is drawn out of the throne of the LORD. The Lord will fight against Amalek from generation to generation.

Beginning is not complete, it is said in a saying, so it is with everything in life!

Therefore, if one starts well, then it is quite different from that the continuation is good and end as well.
My experience and as I have experienced it in life, the prayers of others here are crucial, if it does not count everything.
So, it means very much, if you always have to make the final choices, and have to stand out yourself in the end!

God's goal for us is that we should remain after overcoming everything, then we also need other believers to support us in our lives.
Where prayer is certainly the most important and necessary for any believer. Not least those who are at the forefront of the battle and who Satan is angry and angry with.
With his demon army, and with his allies, he fights us as believers. But the Lord's words and promises are still the same.

Efes. 6. 10 By the way, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His power! 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you may stand against the devil's attack; 12 For we have no fight against blood and flesh, but against powers, against authorities, against the lords of the world in this darkness, against the spirit army of evil in heaven. 13 Take therefore the full armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, and stand to overcome all things.

Heard a story that I freely want to render. There was a small missionary family traveling to Africa. They got some entertainment from their local church. But above all, it was promised to pray for them in each meeting. They were their missionary couples sent by and from the congregation.
Out in the mission field, it was not quite as they had intended. First, their children became ill and died. Then they both became sick, where the wife died and the man survived so white.
He decided to go home, being too heavy to be alone after all he had experienced. He then arrived unannounced in the congregation, sat down on the last leg of prayer meeting. No one noticed him. He overheard their prayers, praying for everything and everyone except him and his family. They had been promised and prayed for in each meeting, but this was forgotten by the congregation.
Then he went forward after meeting, and told the congregation that he now knew why it had gone as they went. They were not in the spirit struggle and he suffered defeat. This is something to think about!

We read about here in the introduction that Israel's children were in battle or battle with Amalek and Amalek is in the scripture a picture of our flesh.
Notice that Moses' hands made "the difference!"
When those hands were "upstairs," the Israelites won. When they hung down, Amalek won.
This is undoubtedly a picture of prayer, as our hands speak of prayer.

Want to include an article in the end regarding this mighty spirit struggle we stand in.
Know a little that after so many games - even if we have come and come victorious - then it takes that one becomes physically tired. Then it is good that there are others who write and speak well about the same topic that one can take in!

"The Lord shall fight against Amalek from generation to generation"

By Olav H. Kydland

On his way from the bondage in Egypt to the land of the promises, Canaan, the people of Israel camped in Refidim. In 2M 17, 9 ff it is said that Amalek came and fought against Israel.
Moses asked Joshua to choose crew to fight against Amalek. Joshua did as Moses had asked and fought against Amalek. The next day, Moses went with God's stake in his hand and got up at the top of the mound. As long as Moses kept his hand lifted, Israel had the upper hand, but when he let his hand sink, Amalek gained the upper hand.

When Moses' hands became heavy, Aaron and Hur took a stone and laid it under him. Moses sat on it and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on each side. Thus, his hands held steady until the sun went down. At the same time, Joshua struck Amalek and his people with the sword's egg.

The Lord commanded Moses to write this in a book. It should also be printed in Joshua's ears. For the Lord would completely destroy the memory of Amalek over the whole earth.

Then Moses built an altar and called it "The Lord is my banner". Then he said, "A hand is drawn from the throne of the Lord! The Lord will fight against Amalek from generation to generation ”2 M 17,16.

This is a good illustration of the spirit struggle that we Christians are fighting every day in this world.

From the day of sin, the spirit struggle has steadily become harder and more intense. Satan has used and used all methods in his struggle against the Triune God. In the old covenant, he fought against God's chosen people, the people of Israel, for he knew that in this people a savior would be born in his day. In all possible ways, he tried to seduce or to annihilate the people by cunning, idolatry, and adultery (see 1 Corinthians 10, 1 ff.). But a rest was left. The migration of the people of Israel from the bondage in Egypt to the land of promise is a picture of our journey toward the land of heaven. What happened to the people at that time is a model for us living in the past.

The battle between God and Satan in history

The struggle stands between God and Satan and gets its catchment in the battle between God's people and the people of the world. Satan uses the world empires to advance his cause. In GT we hear about Egypt and the Assyrian kingdom first. The Egyptian Empire was the first of the world empires who tried to put sticks in the wheels of the Israeli people. The Assyrian Empire took ten tribal regimes in Israel and some of the people were taken to Assyria.

In the book of Daniel (Chap. 2), we read that Daniel suggests King Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a great image of head of fine gold, the breast and arms of silver, the abdomen and hips of copper, the legs of iron, the feet of iron and partly of clay. Daniel confessed that no sage or fortune teller was able to declare the dream, but only God in heaven who reveals secrets. God revealed to Daniel what would happen in the future. The Babylonian kingdom with King Nebuchadnezzar was the first great world empire, but it was to be replaced by the Medio-Persian Empire with Darius or Cyrus ruling. Then the Hellenic or Greek Empire with Alexander the Great would come to power and then be replaced by the mighty Roman Empire. The characteristic of the world empires is their resistance to the triune God and all that is sacred. Behind the world empires is satan and his breath army. In all possible ways, Satan tries to harm God's kingdom and cause his followers to indulge in him instead.

The Roman Empire went under, but it seems to be resurrected in the past. From that kingdom, the Antichrist will then rise from the popular sea. Satan, the Antichrist and the false prophet, the satanic trinity, will take power in the last time. Satan will then give his power to the Antichrist who will seduce and persecute God's people. It will be an unparalleled dominion in the history of violence, brutality, lies, seduction and persecution. Anyone who does not want to worship and approve the Antichrist will be killed. In Daniel 2:34, it is told about the stone being torn loose, but not with hands. It hit the image support on the feet, which were of iron and clay, and crushed them. In verse 35 it is also said: "Then both the iron and the camp, the copper, the silver and the gold were crushed at one time. It was like chaff from the threshing places in the summer, the wind took it so there were no traces of it. But the stone that hit the picture support turned into a great mountain that filled the whole earth ”. The Prophet Daniel then explains the king what this means and says: "And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will establish a kingdom that shall not be destroyed for ever. This kingdom will not be surrendered to any other people. It will crush and end all the other realms. but it itself shall stand for ever ”2.44.

It was in the days of the fourth kingdom that God intervened when Augustus was emperor in the Roman Empire (Luke 2: 1 ff.) Then Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was born in the fulness of time (Gal. 4: 4). In the Bible, the stone is often used as a picture of Jesus (Psalm 118: 22; Isaiah 28: 16 and 1 Peter 2: 4).

The battle of spirit will become ever harder and reach the climax when the Antichrist rises by the power of Satan. Satan acts both as an angel of light and as a roaring lion (2 Cor. 11: 14; 1 Pet. 5: 8). We must learn from Moses and Joshua in the fight against God's adversaries. The most important thing in this fight is the prayer. Let us pray incessantly and support each other in prayer as Aaron and How supported Moses' hands until the battle was won.
So important was the Lord's help in this battle that the Lord commanded Moses to write it in a book so that they would remember it and print it in Joshua's ears. Yes, it is important for us, too, to read, hear, and think of the Lord's benefits.

In the spirit struggle, it is important for us to hear what God's word says and stick to it. The Bible warns us not to conform to this world (Romans 12: 2). The Bible also warns against wrongdoers who say yes to sin and "shameful fornication". It emphasizes how Sodom and Gomorrah are examples for us, for they suffer eternal punishment for their grave sins. The fact that we have received a sex-neutral marriage law is a tragedy. No one should doubt that the Antichrist spirit has led to this. "He who has my commandments and keeps them, he is the one who loves me," says Jesus (John 14: 21). Therefore, no one who loves Jesus can support this new law.

God lets his people look a little behind the veil

In Revelation 8.1 ff we are brought into the heaven of God. God lets his people look a little behind the veil.

The apostle John looks into heaven where the Lamb opened the seventh seal. Then there was silence in the sky for about half an hour. Perhaps it was because of the seriousness that would soon happen, or was it because God would clearly hear the saints' prayers that are constantly rising to him?

The apostle saw the seven angels standing before God. These are the seven archangels. We know the names of two of them: Gabriel and Michael. In Luke 1, an angel reveals himself to Zechariah and says, "I am Gabriel, who stands before the face of God." Further, in Luke 1.26, it is said that the angel Gabriel was sent by God to Nazareth to a virgin named Mary and announced to her that she would be with children and give birth to a son and give him the name Jesus.

About the Archangel Michael says in Dan 10,13: "The prince of the Persian kingdom stood against me for twenty days. But behold, Michael, one of the foremost princes, came and helped me, for I was held back there by the kings of Persia. "The prince of the Persian kingdom is an evil angel, it is the evil spirit behind the world empire. The angel then had to return to continue his fight against other angelic priests. It was then talk of the prince of Greece (evil angel), Dan 10,19.

The names of the other archangels are not found in our Bible, but in apocryphal writings. These seven archangels were given seven trumpets. We know from the GT how the trumpets were used:

a) To alert. God warns people.
b) Fanfare that announces the arrival of some royalty.
c) Call to war. God encourages the struggle for the truth and reveals the lie.

The trumpets to sound are a warning from God to the people to repent and fight against the evil and the evil and stick to the truth, the word of God.

It is also told of another angel who came and stood by the altar. He was given a large amount of incense in the incense cabinet of gold he had. He would add it to the saints' prayers on the yellow altar in front of the throne.

"And the smoke of the incense rose from the hand of the angel before God with the prayers of the saints. And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. Then came thunder and voices and lightnings and earthquakes ”Rev 8: 4-5.

Good to think that our prayers reach up to God. Not only those we pray now, but those we have prayed and those we will pray. In Revelation 5: 8, it is told of incense, that is, the prayers of the saints are laid or gathered in gold bowls. It is a great comfort for God's people. Think! When you ask for:

a) Your loved ones, children, grandchildren must be saved and preserved, so the Lord hears it.
b) The Lord must look to our land and our people, and the Lord will hear it.
c) The Lord must come to the salvation of the people of God, the congregation, and the Lord will hear it.

We should note that the prayers of the believers reach the Lord, and in response to prayer, he deals with the universe and humans. It is not the satanic forces that control the course of the event. It is the Lord who does it in response to all the prayers of God's people sent to Him.

Lars Eritsland says: "Greater than all the powers of darkness are the prayers of the saints" ("Interpretation to John's Revelation").

Let's comfort ourselves and each other with the fact that it is God who is leading the world and is fighting against his enemies. Satan and his helpers and all who were seduced will receive their punishment, but God's people will experience the new heaven and the new earth where sin and death no longer exist.
