No. 753: I speak as the Apostle Paul of truth and soberness words!

No. 753:

I speak as the Apostle Paul of truth and soberness words!

Acts 26 25 But he said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus but I speak words of truth and soberness. (1930 translation).

I have over the years become less and less concerned with people favor and homage (though it can also be hot at times). But more and more of God's favor and blessing. I can say after I have lived as a believer since I was 16 and now has 50 I unlike many have never excused me for anything I may have done. I'm not grown up in a believing home, but a common secular home. And that I just fronts as much of the Bible's teaching is really a contradiction. Those who have grown up with this since childhood has many advantages relationship me. But God has always chosen the gear not by human judgment and opinion. But for his own good, and what he sees in the heart bottom.

I am God's word requires a servant of the Lord

The ability to assess ourselves, work and pace needed, we can provide label-mindedness. It is a word that has almost been lost along the way, and thus many have ceased to be reckoned with. But mindedness is a value we must not lose. What does it mean then to be sober? We will try to illustrate this concept by some Bible quotes: The Apostle Paul says: By the grace I have received, I say to every one of you: Do not think too much about yourself, but think soberly! Each one should stick to the measure of faith God has given him (Rom 12,3). It is therefore wise hearted, humble, and has taught himself to know.

If a bishop in the church, Paul says that he will be a director must not be accused of anything. He must be the husband of one wife, sober (sober), sane, polite, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard or violent but gentle, without contentiousness and lust. (1 Tim 3.2 to 3). The context shows that the sober (sober) is not under some kind of intoxication, wine, money, women or otherwise. Thus, a step forward in a dignified manner.

Paul on one occasion stood in court, he said, Paul replied: "I'm not mad, Honourable Festus, for everything I say is true and well thought out" (Acts. 26.25). In previous translation (DNB-1930) it said .. but I speak words of truth and soberness. In other words, Sind (well thought out) and truth go together. It is important today, I feel, when it has become so important to use irony and satire. If we are talking negatively about satire or irony, we get the impression that people think we have little sense of humor. However, we investigate further, we often find that people take irony for good fish and being deceived. (Ex: Fiction or Fact ?: 'one should not use foreign words are not adequate with') The wayward speak the truth, avoiding ambiguity and irony. The person is also able to see through the superficial, half-anne or lying.

Bible we see that the call to be sober addressed to both church leaders and others of all ages. It means: Be sensible, healthy, fair, serious, show good morals and discipline. A perhaps extreme example to reveal the importance of folly: A man who had destroyed his store in a fire, commented on the speed bump on the road of life. It was just enough for me to slow down a bit. It is folly, learned in the school of life.

When even leading sensible and healthy speech, but is met with lies, curses and everything to frame one. What?

I really debated throughout life. And I think is reasonably good, both to respond and listen. But to meet those who really want. But who knows best anyway, what then?

I think I can say that the apostle Paul: "I speak words of truth and soberness."

But when the counterparty is not, or want to be, what? When is my clear advice, having been through many feuds. It is to leave these people in God's hands, shake the dust off their own feet. And go on with God. Never be left indefinitely to persuade and convince unjust and difficult people.

The Apostle Paul's words will I make mine: Acts 28 24 And some were convinced by what he said, but others disbelieved. 25 They went among themselves, as Paul said one word spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto your fathers, saying: 26 Go unto this people, saying, Ye shall indeed hear and not understand, and seeing and see and not perceive; 27 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart and repent, that I get healed them.

Some will never be convinced, even Jesus, Paul, Peter, John, or any other of the apostles had taught them the truth! While others, they are persuaded, and seek game and groom your spiritual life with them.

Psalm 16 2 I say to the Lord: Thou art my Lord; I have no good beyond thee - 3 as I am of the saints who are in the country, and the lovely in whom I have all my delight.
