All sin is equally bad in God's eyes, but when Protestants have a different opportunity and truly follow God's words here, but do not. Just as in Jeremiah's days, there are currently many false prophets. Today's false prophets are like many ancient prophets, keen own excellence and spirituality. The seducer uncritical, gullible people with a kind of false hope, drawing disciples rather to himself than to Christ. However, when the predictions of these modern prophets do not even come close to fulfillment, they come with a plethora of excuses or rational explanations for mistakes, leaving in the wake of their predictions nothing but obscurity and confusion. It is sad that so few modern prophets go learn from their false prophecies, but simply continues to devise new plans or revelations, and forget or ignore their previous prophecies as if they had never spoken them. Few of these prophets shows no trace of regret or make excuse as a result of failed "word from the Lord" as they have stated.
