Nr. 276:
Are you hide behind Jesus and the gospel of your sin and shame?
Jan Aage Torp think that one can hide behind the name of Jesus for a living in sin, which self-deception. It's like Adam's fig leaves.
1. Genesis 3 6 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that it was a stately tree, since one could make sense of it, and she took of its fruit and ate, and she gave her husband with him, and he ate. 7 When both of their eyes were opened and they were was that they were naked, and the booklet fig leaves together and bound them about life. 8 And they heard the LORD God walking in the garden, when the day was cool, and Adam and his wife hid himself before the Lord God among the trees in the garden. 9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said unto him, Where are you? 10 And he answered: I heard thee in the garden, I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself. 11 Then he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Have you eaten of the tree that I commanded you not eat? 12 And Adam said, The woman whom you gave me to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I ate.
Rooms. 3. 23 all have sinned and come short of God's honor.
All have sinned
The introduction of conscience focus and God's piercing eye, we try to dress in all sorts of fig leaves: we blame for our sins on other people, we seek to explain away that we have sinned against God, we try to adorn ourselves with beautiful motifs to bad actions, we defending our journey with all kinds of excursions - and so just like Adam. It is self-righteousness fig leaves - spiritual and moral patchwork and worm works. They do not hide our shame, and they could not stand to have a little righteous trial.
Adam tried to remedy his sin by wearing fig leaves and put the blame on Eve. Is not that synonymous to human beings even today?
God had to dress Adam in leather clothing
1. Gen 3.7 and 21 on the two kinds of attire the first man appeared God in. When Adam fell into sin, he applied first to make a garment, even - of fig leaves, (verse 7). But God took pity on him and made him a garment of skins (v. 21).
1. Genesis 3 21 And the Lord God made coats of skins for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
This is aimed toward the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary. An animal had to be put to death for dressing the first humans. This also had Jesus die for our sins and the way he served our sin.
By faith in Christ is Christ himself our garment of God. When we keep the stand in judgment. When we stand before God.
"Who will accuse God's elect? It is God who justifies" the God is the one that suits us with Christ, that he will be our righteousness by faith. (Rom 8.33).
God could just put Adam in the leather suit as he did certain animals to death. These animals gave their skins for clothing for Adam. There is a picture and will say to us: God has only been able to clothe ourselves with Christ as he let his own son to die for our sins. Jesus has become us to life as he died. He has been a blessing to us as he became a curse in our place (Galatians 3.13).
Throughout his earthly life made Christ our righteousness costume as he adequate for the law in our place with his holy life. And he put the last stitch in the suit, as he shouted: "It is finished".
From the moment of bydes all sinners, Jesus Christ Himself a garment of God. Do you think his name, there are also in him. "For he who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we in him to be rettferdigge of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).
It is not even saved, always saved
There are some who believe that salvation is a guarantee that is not possible to lose. But salvation is conditioned on faith. If one loses faith, loses also salvation. It is not even certain that you truly believe, even if you think you think. But none of this can be judged by people, for it is God who saves, not people. There is no man that saves on behalf of God. It is only God who saves.
God looked in pity to his people who were slaves in Egypt. He decided to save his people from this imprisonment. The Lord took for safety management during the entire journey. The people could always see the Lord, either as a pillar of cloud by day, or as a pillar of fire by night. They could hear the Lord speaking to Moses from Mount Sinai, the mountain trembled and stood in the smoke. They had seen the Lord divided the sea and the water flowed out of a large stone on top of a rockery. One miracle after another. Is it possible to be a personal witness to all this and still come out the other side as infidels?? Is it possible? Yes, unfortunately. It was possible then, and it is possible today. Of the approx. 1.5 million that came out of Egypt was the 2-two people who reached the goal of salvation, Canaan.
1.32 to 38 5 Mos But anyway I do not believe the Lord your God, 33 who went before you on the way to search the camp for you, at night in a fire, so I could see the way I should go, and a day in a cloud. 34 When the Lord heard your voice, he became angry and swore: 35 Truly, not one of these men, this evil generation shall see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers - 36 none except Caleb son of Jephunneh, he shall see it, him and his children I will give the land he has come in with his foot, because he wholly followed the Lord. 37 Also the LORD was angry with me for your sake, and said, You shall not get in there. 38 Joshua son of Nun, who are you to hand, he will get in there, strengthen him, for he will replace it for an inheritance among Israel.
There is hardly a more false assertion than "once saved always saved". Salvation requires a persistent faith which is in works. It requires obedience to godliness.
File from 2.11 to 16 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to God's glory. 12 Therefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, so the work, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to his delight. 14 Do everything without grumbling and doubt, 15 that ye may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish in the midst of a perverse and crooked generation, among whom ye as lights in the world, 16 as I keep the words of life, to praise me on the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain or worked in vain.
It is not my intention to make this difficult for some. On the contrary. Faith and obedience are not at all difficult, it is easy. It is easy because the fear of God is to know God.
2 Peter 1.3-8 As the His divine power has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and power of 4 and thus has given us the biggest and most expensive promises, that I at them should partake of the divine nature, as I fly away from the corruption in the world through lust, 5 so add and just be careful in all your faith to virtue, and virtue discernment, 6 and Discrimination in temperance, and held in patience, and in patience godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these things are among you and are increasing, since they show that I is not ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Many Autobahns at the disposal leads to Rome, but only a narrow path leading to God's kingdom.
If we confess the name of Jesus we are on the safe side anyway?
Think of the example. all those gjengiftetde as believers, why do them? Jan Aage Torp I had a dispute with the neat and afterwards he was so bold and fearless after I had kept the word of God and what God's Word says about this that he would not lose sleep over. Think of a pride. I read on his blog that now he dreamed of himself that he opposed the destruction (http://pastortorp.org/2012/03/26/en-drom-om-dodens-intethet/).
But he tried to explain it away as they came to the pagans and those who believed in Jesus. It does nothing to believe in Jesus if we have not repented and live in daily repentance and renewal with Jesus every day. Torp living in sin when he is re-married as a believer and as a Pastor, shameful and unclean, it is!
What eg January Hanvold who judges others to hell through the TV route is, almost every day? It helps not to judge others to destruction when a self-standing front of the queue there as Hanvold do!
He lives in blatant sin, and is therefore a child of perdition unless he repents. This applies to all "believers" who do not have clean flour in the bag and who live in the light of his life. Everything depends on the fact that we live right within its God at any time to have part in salvation. We can not confess our sins but also to repent from them. Unless we repent we live in a self-deception and will either lose our wages, and ultimately the salvation.
1. John. b 1 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It relies on a daily and regular flow of grace over our lives. The bread we eat is not satisfying today. We need stadigvek new refills or so we are starving. This is also in the spiritual area, we must have a continuous and regular flow of electricity and purifying blood of Jesus over our lives. Then repentance is something that is not one-time experience, but we need to experience and participate in regularly to be recorded in salvation. And to reach the prize and the crown that awaits us at home in the eternal and blessed homes made by God, a city capable of us who believe in Jesus.
We will reach the goal, sluttfrelsen
1. Pet. 1. 9 when the winner until the end goal of your faith, the salvation of souls.
The goal is to share in the final salvation. It does not help to be saved again, if we can not reach. There are so many who have bowed to Jesus and become saved, but that does not participate in sluttfrelsen. Think of Demas who left Jesus to take part in the world's joys and pleasures again.
2. Tim. 4. 10a For Demas left me, because he loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica.
Bear fruit, fruit that lasts
John. AD 15 16 I have not chosen me, but I chose you, and I have set you to go and bear fruit, fruit that lasts, that the Father will give you everything you ask him in my name.
Many sincere Christians believe that to bear fruit simply means to bring souls to Jesus. But to bear fruit means something much bigger than soul-winning.
The fruit Jesus is talking about is Christ-likeness. To put it simply, to bear fruit means to reflect Christ likeness. And the phrase "much fruit" means "growing Christ-likeness."
Growing more and more like Jesus is the main purpose in life. It must be central in all our activities, our lifestyle, our relationships. Yes, all our gifts and callings - our work, service and witness - must truly flow out from this main purpose.
If I do not have a heart like Christ - if I did not become noticeably more like him - I have completely missed God's purpose for my life. It does not matter what I have accomplished for His kingdom's sake. If I miss this one purpose, I have lived, preached and labored in vain.
You must understand that God's purpose for me can not be fulfilled in what I do for Christ. It can not be measured on the basis of which I perform, even if I heal the sick or cast out demons. No, God's purpose for me is only true in that I become more like Him.
Christ-likeness is not about what I do for the Lord, but how I am being transformed into his image.
The disciples' performance was the temple in Jerusalem a great work of God, a great feat. They took Jesus on a tour to show him the grandeur of the design, the large crowds that gathered there daily and all the religious activities that took place there. They believed that Christ would be as impressed as them.
Instead, Jesus choked their enthusiasm. He said to them, in brief: "All of this will fall down. There will be a rock again. These crowds will be dispersed and even shepherds will flee. Everything about this place that impresses you - everything looks so out religion - will be rejected. And it will happen because it does not reflect Christ. It is man-centered, and it reveals the only thing about the people. "
The disciples had actually been concerned about the wrong temple. They had fixed his eyes on this man-made temple. Their focus was directed at the religious activity. And they were impressed with the wrong things. What happened there was no presentation of the Father. The temple had become a den of thieves and moneychangers. The prophets and the priests were only looking to manner of self. They abused and even their parents' finances. The temple was not about Christ's intentions at all.
In short, Jesus was facing the disciples' attention to the spiritual temple. As Paul later wrote to the church: "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God?" (1 Cor. 3.16). I believe that many Christians today are like the disciples. We are impressed by the huge church buildings, the crowds that flock to every Sunday, over the unprecedented adoration of the many programs and services. But Jesus' message to us is clear: we will not focus on buildings of stone and wood, the worship style or what the church is headed. These things will only distract us. Instead, our focus will be on the spiritual temple.
The fact is that the Holy Spirit is in his temple all the time. He lives in our bodies. And he is always prepared to lead us to the purpose he has for us. This means that we must have our spiritual house in order.
There are times when we are called to judge righteously. Scripture calls all Christians to expose false teachers and false prophets. Especially pastors to the house of God to speak clearly against it that do not reflect Christ.
But Peter says that judgment begins in God's house. And "House" means not only the church but also our bodily temple. I will judge myself - to see the condition of my own temple - before I am able to judge something I see in church.
Jesus says, "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away ... If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and wither, and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they burn." (John 15:2,6). What it had to be in the church that does not reflect Christ - all that is corrupt or false, or that does not lead his people into a greater resemblance to him - will be taken care of. Jesus will throw it out. And he will get this service and its evil practitioners to fade. Finally, he'll reveal it, ruin it and close it.
I am convinced that if all Christians living today could have walked through the temple in Jesus' time, they would have been grieved by what they saw. Priests who emptied the pockets of the people 'say, greed and corruption, money madness - all things would seem shocking. Such a Christian would wonder: "How long will the Lord endure such foolishness in his house?"
But the truth is that the condition of the temple should not be the subject of our concern. Jesus took a showdown with the evil there. He took a whip and cleansed his Father's house. And he tore down all the corrupt services had their business there.
Today, we are servants of the same Christ who cleansed the temple. And he is faithful and he will throw out all maturity in his church, in his time and his way. If he wanted, he could cause all false prophets to fall overnight. Therefore, we trust that he will handle his church. Our responsibility is to ensure that no worldliness creeps into our own earthly temple.
Die every day
1 Corinthians 3:31 p.m. I die every day, as long as I can boast of you, brethren, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It fails so many and it does that only it should and should all ask themselves several questions about what they really believe in, it is from God or it is also the evil, that Satan also has gained a place? It is to me very obvious that the word I opened with regard to spirits. They go and takes seven spirits worse than himself to attack and try to get a foothold for those who have been fulfilled with God's spirit. They are Satan targets and target No. 1 Here are Pentecostals particularly exposed because they believe, and many experienced spiritual body and what it means to know God in a deeper way than many others.
Spirit and the Fullness of Spirit baptism is committed, it is not just to get without assuming the costs and be willing to pay the price, every day I die said Paul, in so many fail along the way. But to say to many Pentecostals "excuse", they are more vulnerable than anyone else when they experience it as God's word speaks about and what the early Christians preached. Not only to be saved, but that God may be all in all in the church even here in time.
Take up our cross
Mark 8:34 And he called the people to him tillikemed his disciples and said to them: If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
What does it mean? We shall bear no cross to thus save ourselves and atone our sins. No, cross that saves us, Jesus carried. But you and I will carry a cross in which we ourselves will die. Your old nature, your desires, your sin and your pride. All that in you prevents you from following Jesus, you shall daily through prayer, confess and ask forgiveness. How you crucify your flesh, your old nature. And by reading the Bible, and taking in the service you give birth to your new nature. It speaks of Jesus in Luke 9:23 is the same as Paul writes about in Gal.2.20 I am crucified with Christ. I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Seireskaransen waiting
2. Tim. 4. 7 I have fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith. 8 So when the crown of righteousness is ready for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, but not me alone but all who have loved His appearing.
Like being on a track sees Paul for the Christian life. Along the way there are wonderful and important experience, but the focus must not be disregarded. It is to be in goal and with a victory wreath around the head. There are no shortcuts or opportunities to cheat in order to reach. And there is a high calling. No one has a higher calling than us Christians. We have in mind: 2 Pet.3. 13 But according to His promise we are waiting for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
