No. 1131:
Request blood protection on the basis of new covenant teachings are unbiblical, when the blood removes all sin, and we can see God without blushing with shame!

Jesus on the cross, where they stick a spear in his side. The blood seemed that Satan trembles and flees. While we as sinful humans can come close to God, and look up to him, without blushing with shame, but beam with joy!

There are times we mix the old and the new covenant. Let me say it right away, the old covenant was delightful, wonderful and magnificent. Paul says, inter alia,

Romans. 7. 12 So the law is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good. 14a For we know that the law is spiritual.

Here we read that the law - or the Old Covenant - is spiritual, holy and good. Mostly better than this, things can this be? Well, actually, the New Covenant - and its promises are even sweeter, richer and bigger. This is incredibly much to say about, but I we first quote some words from the apostle Paul.

2 Cor. 3. 2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men, 3 being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the living Spirit of God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 4 But such trust we have with God through Christ, 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God, 6 who also made us able ministers of the new covenant not of the letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit giveth life. 7 But if the ministration of death, written engraved on stones, came in glory, so that the Israelites could not see the face of Moses for his countenance glory which made useless, 8 how shall not service of the Spirit be with much more glory! 9 For if the service of condemnation has glory, the service of righteousness exceeds much more in glory; 10 for the glorious in this respect, no glory against surpassing glory. 11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is in glory. 12 Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness, 13 and not as Moses, who put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel should not look to the end of that which is abolished. 14 But their minds were hardened; for until this day the same veil remains in reading the old covenant, without it being revealed, that it is done away in Christ. 15 But to this day, a veil lies over their heart when Moses is read, 16 but when it turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Here we see some of the major contrasts between the old and the new covenant. The old covenant is limited, not perpetual and arrow pointing upward never. While the new covenant is unlimited, perpetual and arrow always points upwards.

There to ask for blood protection is something that we find mentioned in the Old Testament, but not in the New Testament. In GT had the high priest offer an offering every year, both for people and for themselves. See here for lessons on this topic:

While in the NT it is the sacrifice of Jesus well enough, once and for all. See my commentaries Hebrews here:

We live in the new covenant, which Jesus' blood removes sin, sin effects and we can look up to God without blushing with shame.

1 Jn. b. 1. 7 But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 34.6 They looked up to him and their faces beaming with joy, and their faces blushed not of shame.

In the New Testament we are "free" for sin and placed with Christ in heaven. Where we sit at the Father's right hand with Jesus. We find images on this Old Testament. One of the strongest and finest is Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah.

Zechariah 3 2 And the Lord said to Satan: The Lord rebuke thee, Satan! The Lord rebuke thee that hath chosen Jerusalem! Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3 Joshua was clothed in filthy clothes as he stood for the angel's face. 4 And the angel answered and said unto them that stood before him, Take the filthy garments from him! And to him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity from you, and clothe yourself with høitidsklær. 5 Then I said: Put a clean miter upon his head! And they set a fair miter upon his head, and clothed him with garments while the Angel of Jehovah stood by.

Here we see the total transformation, as it also happened to us when we received salvation in Christ Jesus.

2 Cor. 5. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new!

Final Comment:

We could have taken so many scriptures, but we do not blood protection etc.
Why slows we not "blood protection"? Because the blood of Jesus has removed everything, and Satan has no access to our lives, if we do not give him the opportunity!

Blood is so "strong", as the blood of Jesus that Satan can not stand near it. But God the Father may then "bear" us humans. In GT saw was the blood of calves and goats, as "weak." That it was just constantly a temporary solution that was "renewed" every year by the high priest brought a sacrifice first for themselves, then for the people. This was weak, earthly and transient. While the blood of Jesus was a heavenly and perfect blood. It was strong, divine and eternal! This we enjoy to the fullest today at that every day we can take within its God, above throne of grace. And there be grace, mercy and eternal life.

From my commentaries Hebrerbrevet 4. 14 So we now have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession!

The priests and high priest worked in the temple in Jerusalem for a period of approximately 1500 years. Priestly service began in Siloam and after King David's entry Jerusalem ca. 1000 years f.kr service was in Jerusalem for 70 e.kr when temple was razed. But Jesus ministering in heaven itself for our sake.

15 For we have not a high priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet without sin.

Jesus became man fully make sure he understands us fully and are able to be our advocate and intercessor within its Father. But the reason for that was that he was and is without sin!

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time.

In the old covenant was necessary depending on the priest and the chief priest. What they did to you within its God. But in the new covenant is necessary depending on what Jesus is doing within its Father and that we squandered the opportunity we have in the blood of Jesus and come within its Father with everything and get answers to prayer and in the right time.

Heb. 10 19 So can we, brethren, by virtue of the blood of Jesus boldly into the sanctuary.
