Nr. 553: Parable of the bride and wedding guests.

Nr. 553:

Parable of the bride and wedding guests.

Israel first received the offer to receive the kingdom of God, but declined. Today is what we as Gentile Christians who have "received" it. Although many fail and do not have the wedding garment, so there are also millions who have since the Gospel was first preached to the Gentiles, that we read about in Acts 10 Where Cornelius and his household were the first nations that were part of the bride. Since it has been said that millions saved up and the last one will be saved, it has happened to millions, praise be to God and the Lamb. Picture of the apostle Peter who had received "the keys" of Jesus to unlock for us Gentiles so that we might be saved. After this seemed Apostle Peter among his own people Israel. And it was the Apostle Peter was the "great" Apostle among us Gentile Christians or the bride of Christ.

God has not rejected his people

Rooms 11.1-2a I say then, Hath God cast away his people? Nay I too am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away his people which he foreknew.

The church has not replaced Israel, but we are grafted into God's people. Where both Jews and Gentiles who accept salvation becomes the bride of Christ.

Rooms from 11.17 to 18 And if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and became partaker with them in the sap from the root, so praise you not against the branches Roses to you, know that it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you!

Some branches (Jews) were broken off from fellowship with God because of unbelief so that there was room for the Gentile. But God has the power to graft them in again. God's plan is that ALL Israel shall be saved.

Rooms from 11.24 to 29 You [are Gentile] was cut off from the olive tree which by nature was wild [the other nations that are not God's people], and instilled in a noble olive tree [God's people]. How much more will the natural branches [Jews] be grafted into their own olive tree which they belong by nature! For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery - so that you should not consider yourself as wise: Hardness is part happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in [a large number of Gentiles have been saved ]. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written: From Zion shall deliverer [Messiah] come. He will clear away ungodliness from Jacob. And this shall be my covenant with them when I take away their sins. When it comes to the gospel [of Jesus Christ], they become enemies for them [so we Gentiles can now be saved]. But when it comes to selecting [the promise to Abraham], they are beloved for the fathers sake [Abraham, Isaac and Jacob]. For God did not regret their gifts and callings.

All Israel will be a day to be saved in that they accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah. This happens when God pours out the Holy Spirit (Spirit of grace and of supplications) on the Jews. They should then look up to Jesus as they (their fathers) pierced (crucified). They shall mourn for him, and the blood of Jesus will be an open source of salvation and purification from sins.

Cause 12.10 The house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, I will pour out the Spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look up to me whom they have pierced. And they shall mourn for him as one mourns his only begotten son, and complain because of him as a petitioner of his firstborn.

Item 13.1 In that day shall there be an open source house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. When Israel in this way accept Jesus as the Messiah he comes back to earth and save Israel from their enemies. When Christ returns, he will put his feet on the Mount of Olives and world history last major battle to occur. Then Jesus and all the saints (the saved Jews and Gentiles) victories over the enemies of Israel and Jesus Christ will reign as King of kings over the earth.

Item 14.3 to 5 For the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst of from east to west, and there is a large valley. One half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and the other half toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of my mountains. For the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king. Then the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee, my God!

Case 14.8-9 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea. Both summer and winter shall it be. When the Lord shall be king over all the earth. In that day the LORD will be one and His name one.

Question:

The bride and wedding guests

In traditional scriptural interpretation Bride synonymous with the church. In Matt. 22 However, Jesus tells a parable about a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He focuses especially on the wedding guests. My question is: Who is this parable bride and who is the wedding guests?

Sincerely, Thor Magne Paulsen

Matt. 22, 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them in parables, saying, 2 The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a king who made a marriage for his son. 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again he sent other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 The king was angry, and sent his armies out and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy 9 Go ye therefore into the parting and to the marriage as many as you can find! 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to look at them at the table, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment. 12 And he said unto him, Friend! how did you get in here not having a wedding on! But he was silent. 13 Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into outer darkness! There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called but few are chosen.

Rooms. 11th 1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? Nay I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin; 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias, how he maketh intercession to God against Israel: 3 Lord! Your prophets killed, your altars they tore down, and I was left alone, and seeketh my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. 7 What then? What Israel desire, it did not obtain, but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were hardened, 8 as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see and ears that should not hear, until this day. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made a knit and a snare and a trap, and a recompense to them! 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not, and submit their back always! 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? Nay but rather through their fall salvation is come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy 12 but their fall riches for the world, and the loss of those riches for the Gentiles, how much more then their fullness! 13 For unto you I speak ye nations! As long as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify mine office, 14 if I could only arouse my fleshly kinsmen to jealousy and save some of them. 15 For the world is reconciled to God by their rejection, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also, and if the root be holy, so are the branches. About 17 now takes some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, were grafted among them, and share them with the oil tree root and fatness, 18 do not boast against the branches But if you boast, it is however not you who support the root, but the root supports you. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted. 20 Well! by their unbelief they were interrupted, but you stand by your faith, do not be haughty, but fear! 21 for God spared not the natural branches, he will not spare you. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: severity upon those who fell, but over thee, goodness, if thou keep thee for His goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they indeed should also be instilled, if they abide not still in unbelief, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For you were cut off from the olive tree which is wild by nature, and against nature grafted into a good olive tree: how much more shall they be grafted into their own olive tree, those who by nature it belongs to. 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery - lest ye think ye even wise - that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved as it is written: From Zion savior come, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: clean, 27 and when I taketh away their sins, then this is my covenant with them. 28 After the Gospel are the enemies for your sake, but after the election they are beloved for the fathers sake: 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 so have these also now not believed, that they also may obtain mercy through your mercy has been brought to you, 32 for God has given them all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon them all. 33 O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and untraceable His ways! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who was his counselor? 35 Or who gave unto him first, so he should get consideration again? 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things: to whom be the glory forever! Amen.

1 Cor. 10th 5 yet God was not pleased with most of them, for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as some of them, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play! 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed adultery and fell in one day three and twenty thousand! 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer! 11 These things happened to them as examples, but they are written for our admonition, upon whom the end of the ages has come. 12 Therefore, whoever thinks he he stands take heed lest he fall! 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as common to man: but God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation and its output, that can withstand the

You ask about the following: Who is this parable bride and who is the wedding guests?

My answer is: Bride's church and wedding guests are Israel. Will explain my answer:

Israel did offer to accept God's offer of salvation in Christ Jesus, but declined. And the Gospel walked over to us Gentiles. Unfortunately, there are also many so-called Gentile Christians who are not worthy, therefore, comes in he who had wedding garment on. Here we actually see a change, where those who first received the offer comes under a "worse" condition than those who were offered other hand, we Gentile Christians. Therefore, I like that look as Pastor Barratt spent on us believers that we are "grace-believers."

Of course I could justified it even more, but this is my answer. Hope it will be of help and guidance Thor Magne Paulsen.
