Maranta temple and Erling Bergshaven!
I have a "small" past in Maranta when I've been Seljordsheia on dates several times and part of Maranta temple in youth and knows otherwise a part of Maranta. Both good and bad.
Photo of Maranta temple in Oslo which is sure the country's most "strategic" location when it comes to reaching people and mild meetings for near and far. Right down the center of Oslo with all collectives iven around them while 1km away so that it is also possible to park the car etc.

Maranta from Wikipedia:
Maran Ata was started as a breakaway group from the Pentecostal movement in Norway. Maran Ata movement had a peak in activity in 1960, and received a large number of members. The number of members currently are believed to be relatively low.
Maran Ata was 1960's controversial because of its practice of healing through prayer, often in combination with fundraising. Pentecostal leaders and preachers criticized the movement, and some Pentecostal leaders went out and talked Maran Atas healing meetings as "ecstasy, infatuation and forgery."
(end of quote).
Today, Maranta movement more of a tragedy to be reckoned in terms of what it could and should have been!
How could it end this way, or be so? No doubt the lack of holiness in the life and teachings. It is here Maranta movement has stranded like so many others.
But God sent people to them, in their way that could have been their "rescue". One of them was:
Erling Berg Haven from Lillesand.
I recall that he worked on Bergshaven Båtbyggeri where his son had taken over as general manager. He was married to Berte Bergshaven? This is back to about 2000 so it is now almost 15 years since we had contact.
I spoke with Erling Berg Haven and he was pretty distraught over being fired from the editor position. I asked the reason. He said it was because he wrote and took into pieces where the theme remarriage among Christians were illuminated. And this was not tolerated because so many people both directly and indirectly. They could not have an editor who stood on God's Word regarding divorce and remarriage among Christians.
Afterwards, there have only been problems, stagnation and difficulties in Maranta and Maranta temple in Oslo.
Should it not be allowed to claim God's words here? It seems that soon only the Catholic Church and some voices here and there standing on God's word regarding divorce and remarriage? But therefore, supportive of those who stand before the Lord and the Word of God here. Not Lefler and give in to sin and heresy!
John the Baptist's head lost owing to claiming that remarriage was a pity!
Matt. 14 1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, 2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead, and therefore these are the forces operating in him. 3 For Herod had seized John and bound him and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. 4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. 5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the people; because they counted him as a prophet. 6 And it came to Herod's birthday, Herodias danced daughter for them, and Herod thought of her; 7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she would ask. 8 But she said after her mother's advice: Give me here John the Baptist's head on a platter! 9 And the king was grieved, yet for his oath's sake, and for the guests he commanded it to be given her, 10 And he sent forth and had John beheaded in the prison. 11 And his head was brought on a platter and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother. 12 And his disciples came and took his body and buried it; and they went and told Jesus.
We read in verse 4: "For John had said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her."
The fact that John the Baptist claimed that Herod could not live in this relationship for the font. This cost John the Baptist life. It has always been the struggle to claim what God's word says about this. So before - so today!
One evening, however, as Herod Antipas Salome - his niece and stepdaughter - dance and was so captivated that he promised her what it should be. When her mother got her wish for John the Baptist's head on a platter.
But then offered it an opportunity: On his birthday Herod held a feast for their leading officials, officers and the leading men of Galilee. Then the daughter of Herodias danced in and. Herod and the guests were so taken that the king said to her, "Ask me whatever you want, I'll give you that." He swore at it and said, "Whatever you ask me, I will give you, if it so is half my kingdom. "She went out and said to her mother," What shall I ask? "She replied," the head of John the Baptist. "Immediately she hurried to the king and said what she wanted:" I want you immediately gives me the head of John the Baptist on a platter. "Then the king was deeply distressed, but because he had sworn, and while guests listened to, he would not say no to her. The king immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John's head. He went and beheaded John in the prison, brought his head on a platter and gave it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. (Mark 6, 21-28).
The fact that her name was Salome, we know from the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus (Ant 18.136).

Our spiritual battle
By Erling Berg Haven
(From the Good Message No. 6-1962)
Eph. 6, 10-18.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. To the people we got to be good and kind. Jesus says in the Sermon on the Mount: "But I say unto you, that ye shall bring unto you the one who is evil against you, but if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, then turn the other to him. Matt. 5, 39, Paul writes: "Do not repay evil with evil; seek that which is good sight of all men. Whenever possible, keep in on your side, at peace with all men. "Rooms. 12, the 17
Here in the world among many evil, combative people, should we be peacemakers. Matt. 5, 9 Yet, yet our life is one soldier. 2 Tim. 2, 3 However, our enemies are not, as written above, flesh and blood, but against something far more serious and dangerous, namely the whole spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
It is good that we are not with our physical eye can see this, because then we would probably be terrified. But it would certainly be helpful to have some more Bible knowledge about this. It is not "toys" that we proudly can process truth loosely, as unfortunately many a child of God has done and then suffered a crushing defeat.
An elderly preacher from the dedication of a troes- and healing home near here, said one of the speakers stood up and challenged the whole infernal army to come against this troeshjemmet. Then I was afraid, said the old preacher, and this home is long since abandoned as such. About the angel Michal, who has been called the great prince (Daniel. 12, 10) and whose knowledge of evil spirits and its chief, the devil says that he dared not utter a railing judgment, when he disputed with the devil Moses body, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." (V Judah. 9). It was like, well to taunt one from the Salvation Army, asked what the f-one would mean that the person had on each side of the collar. "It means," it was black, "that there are enemies on both right and left." It was a striking and true answer. Just think of the possessed man, as we read in Matt. 5, when asked, "What is your name?", He replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many", and it turned out well, then the evil spirits out of the man, and got permission from Jesus to to enter into the swine, that they were many. Remember that a legion was an army of the Romans of about 6,000 men.
Besides this spiritual wickedness we read of its commander who walks about like a roaring lion, or at times as an angel of light and his wiles are many.
Now when you read and hear this as with many other things, which could be produced from the font, so you may feel battle scared and go in our own strength, then you certainly due to this. It is so characteristic what it's been told about an ant Krabble along a railway line. Suddenly stop and listen and soon realized that now comes the train. It stood on two and says that now was the match. The train arrives and neither the train driver nor any of the passengers noticed the smallest to the ant, who fought the agony to stop the train.
This was a childish story, but exactly how is our struggle against this spiritual army in our own strength and power.
"Our own power is nothing worth, we were well soon nedhugne." Just why is it that Scripture encourages and commands us to take the whole armor of God, and as always pray in the spirit, and when we can expect, as Luther: "But going forward in this process, To him must everything gets full ....... If the world was full of devils who would devour us, We fear not we have with us the man that can threaten. "
Watch and pray!
