We find in Scripture, both the Old and New Testament that the word God is not used only in the one true God, Father, let us have this very clear or so we get a lot of things in our interpretation of the Bible. But the word God is used as I say in the title and Hedding min:

Is Jesus God? Are we human gods and angels gods? Yes scripture says. But no, the only true God, the only God the Father is.
Joh. AD 17 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
1 Tim. 1 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.
Jesus and the apostle Paul uses the same word of God the Father, the only God. Can we believe what Jesus and the apostle Paul taught? I do, Hallelujah!
The traditional doctrine of the Trinity is essentially a distance-taking to the belief that Israel and the early Christians who believed in one God, including Jesus and the apostles. Eventually, so did this doctrine to believe in a triad of God greater and greater support because coercion, ignorance and dominance of the leading men in the church. Then one was required to believe in this heresy. Why is it so hard to break out of it then it is a Satanic yoke that hangs over this doctrine, or this heresy.
Examples in Scripture where God, Gods or the like mentioned, this is only a small extract when it becomes too much to mention. I take the first few where God the Father, where the Son humans and, secondly, the fallen angels and Satan. But only and alone one who is greater than all others, it is God the Father and him alone:
God the Father:

Satan and the fallen angels as:
Psalm 95:3 For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods, Psalm 96:4 For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, he is terrible above all gods.
Among the angels of God:
Psalm 97:7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods! Psalm 97:9 For thou, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, you are hurting exalted above all gods.
Jesus showed us who God is to the fullest:
God is light, and His Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus is the Light of the World, through that we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, we are also the light. Only through God the Father, the world may get salvation and eternal life through faith in His Son Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Christians followed Christ, Son of God, who opened the door to his Father for us, and gave them / us the spirit of love, forgiveness and eternal life. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and whom you sent, Jesus Christ. "(John 17:3) "No one has ever seen God. The only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him" (John 1:18)
God's goal of us is that we shall be King Sons and Daughters. Jesus is the prototype, he is God not only as a theory, but in the true sense as he is the God Father. So it is God's goal for us to be conformed to the image of the Son of God:
Rooms. 8 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
We will also be coming Kings, why? It was King status Adam lost in the fall, we shall get back to full again.
Rev 5:10 and made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth! Revelation 22:5 And night shall be no more, and they need no candle, neither light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
Final comment:
There is so much more that could be said. But although my experience is that very often those who profess to be Christians behave just the opposite. But I choose to believe the word above all else. King Harald in Norway and King Carl Gustav of Sweden has gone up in two different ways. Carl Gustav has not exactly behaved and been on a Royal way in several respects. But he is King anyway. Unfortunately all too often the case also with the believers here in Norway, they behave exactly opposite from what they really are, Royal and Gods!
We must be clear to us that the word God, it is in the relational word used and mentioned to and that makes the difference! There are many gods, but only one that is the only true God, the Father, and no one else, it will and should be beyond any kind of doubt.
1 Cor. 8 4 b That there is no God but one. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth - as there be gods many, and lords many - so 6 is yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
