The proverb says the following:

When something goes wrong, you can count on even more to go wrong!

Then for those who do not do the right thing and want to do good.
After everything that has gone wrong for Unibuss and Ruter this winter.
These new charging boxes are also not tight according to Unibuss employees.
Where on really cold days they cannot be charged, as there is frozen food inside these boxes.
Why?
Because they are not tight and when moisture gets inside.
So according to employees at Unibuss, you don't get charged as the ice and moisture paralyzes the charge. A fan or something else would have improved this box.
Moisture combined with ice settles inside the boxes, as you can see in one picture, this has presumably been tried to be improved here in the picture.

Does it appear that attempts have been made to remove it from ice and moisture?



Here are charging boxes at Alnabru, where you can also see parts of the old charging points where we had pantograph chargers that always worked.
Now it is obviously something that one struggles with, and does not work well on cold days according to what employees say.






Bus drivers who freeze - why doesn't the safety representative intervene?


Here I am told that bus drivers here in Oslo save on electricity as they do not get a fully charged bus when they are not.
They sit at 10 - 11 - 12 - 13 degrees. Where 13 degrees is max.
It is everyday in Oslo to drive an EL bus.

It really is chaos, not good in some areas as Unibus and the bus companies are doing here in the capital now.
Employees here in the city tell me that they sit with a blanket on them when they drive.
Mittens, gloves, scarf, stillongs, hat and everything that keeps you from freezing.
This is the green shift here in Europe's environmental capital (2019).
Actually, this is dramatic, where one is trying to do one's job.
But sits in a tin can and freezes.
Deeply tragic and alarming!

This sitting and freezing is completely incomprehensible that the conservation officer refuses to drive. It can't be like this and continue!?

Sickness absence is of course sky high, who can manage to drive a bus for up to 8 - 9 - 10 hours and freeze day after day?
The entire Unibus is and remains a disaster.

Problems with access in systems that should be able to preheat buses before they are driven out by the drivers.

Sauge continues that it is the buses that are the problem.
- At the weekend, half of the buses were in the garage with some fault, that they had to be charged or that there were charging points that did not work.

- I drove the bus in and said I needed a new bus. When I got a perfectly OK technical bus, it was freezing cold at eleven degrees below zero. I was already quite cold before, and it took one hour to warm it up to nine degrees. Then you still get quite cold feet, she describes.

When I started at Unibuss in 2005, where I worked until 2021.
Over the course of 16 years, I saw that the distance between the management and us drivers just got bigger and bigger.
They lived in their own world.
Rented an expensive premises down in the center of Oslo.
Schweigaards gate 16 where they believe they are doing a great job, even with a loss of 100 million last year. Surely this year it will be many times that?

Having a hard time seeing how they will survive?


Time will tell, but it is not just the buses that are struggling here.
But also the drivers and passengers with cold buses with minimal electricity.
If I were a bus driver, I would refuse to drive such cold buses and contact the safety representative immediately.
And one more thing, if these buses have so little electricity.
Is it particularly dangerous to drive in a tunnel? Stopping in a tunnel with an EL bus is life-threatening.
If that happens, I reckon the driver's bus tag is in bad shape!
