Missionary and preacher Halvard Hasseløy goes hard against Finn-Arne Lauvå's new vision of the end times, but happily cooperates with the false prophet Jan Hanvold!

We read the following statements, i.a. in the Dagen newspaper:
Gordon Tobiassen travel secretary at Ordet & Israel
Leif S. Jacobsen retired pastor in the Methodist Church
Missionary and preacher Halvard Hasseløy

All three warn against Finn Arne Lauvås, but cooperate with Jan Hanvold.
He is protected even though his life and teachings are as misguided as Finn Arne is, if not more so!

Strays

- This is a doctrinal fallacy and can lead to heresy, says Halvard Hasseløy to Dagen.
Instead, Hasseløy feels that there is an arrogance about Lauvås and his followers.
- They do not understand that there are other views.
- This is a man who was saved from the streets and has now written 30 books and will instruct the whole of Christian Norway from Thailand. It is arrogant to have such an attitude.
In Paul's second letter to Timothy, the apostle of the Gentiles tells of two false teachers: Hymeneus and Philetus. These false teachers preached that the resurrection had already happened, and in that way they broke down the faith of the people.
This is the same thing that Lauvås teaches today, believes Tobiassen. And it has the same consequences.
- Hymeneos and Philetus had gone wild and had been led away from the truth. This view tears down faith and leads to spiritual death.
(end of quote.)

Scripture says that we must distance ourselves from both Finn Arne Lauvås and Jan Hanvold, as they are both heretics!

Room. 16. 17 Now I exhort you, brethren, to be on your guard against such as cause division among you and place stumbling blocks in the way of the preaching in which you have been trained. Reject them!
18 Such as they do not slave for the Lord Jesus Christ, but for their own stomach. With smooth speech and flattery they seduce the heart of the credulous.
19 But your obedience is talked about everywhere, and therefore I am happy on your behalf about it! For I want you to be clever in goodness and naive in evil
20 The God of peace will crush Satan under his feet in haste. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you! Amen.

Finn Arne has a smooth tongue, but so does Jan Hanvold.
Why is one so inconsistent?
This is not according to the sound doctrine. And what is right!

Final comment:

1 Samuel 15. 1 Samuel said to Saul: It was me the Lord sent to anoint you king over his people, over Israel; so now sound the word of the Lord! 1 Sam 10,1
2 Thus says the Lord God of hosts: I will visit Amalek for what he did to Israel, that he stood in his way when he came up from Egypt. Exodus 17:8-16 Numbers 24:20 Deuteronomy 25:17-19
3 Now go forth and smite Amalek, and smite all that is his; do not spare him, but kill both man and woman, both child and suckling, both ox and sheep, both camel and donkey. Jos 6,17-21
4 Then Saul called the people to arms and mustered them in Tela'im; there were two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men from Judah.
5 When Saul came to the city of the Amalekites, he laid an ambush in the valley.
6 And Saul said to the Kenites: Go away, separate yourselves from the Amalekites and go down, so that I will not destroy you with them! For you did good to all the children of Israel when they came up from Egypt. Then the Kenites parted ways with the Amalekites.
7 Saul struck the Amalekites and pursued them from Havilah to near Shur, which is east of Egypt. Genesis 25:18
8 And he took Agag, the king of Amalek, captive alive, and he smote all the people with bans, and slew them with the edge of the sword.
9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best and second best of the flocks and herds and lambs - all that looked good - and would not ban them; but all cattle that were mean and wretched, they banished. Leviticus 27,28-29
10 Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel, and it read thus:
11 I repent that I have made Saul king; for he has turned away from me and has not kept my words. Then Samuel's anger was kindled, and he cried to the Lord all night.
12 The next morning Samuel got up early to meet Saul; then someone came and said to Samuel: Saul has come to Carmel, and there he has erected a monument; then he turned and went down to Gilgal.
13 When Samuel came to Saul, Saul said to him: Blessed be you of the Lord! I have followed the word of the Lord.
14 But Samuel said: Then what kind of lowing of cattle is this that sounds in my ears, and what kind of roaring of cattle I hear?
15 Saul answered: They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the flock and of the cattle to sacrifice to the Lord your God; but we have banned the rest.
16 Then Samuel said to Saul: Wait, and I will tell you what the Lord has spoken to me tonight! He said tenl him: Speak!
17 Samuel said: When you were small in your own eyes, you became head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed you king over Israel. 1 Sam 9,21 1 Sam 10,21-24
18 And the Lord sent you away and said: Go and smite these sinners, the Amalekites, with bans and war against them until you make an end of them!
19 Why then did you not obey the Lord's words, but threw yourself upon the captives and did what was evil in the Lord's eyes?
20 Then Saul said to Samuel: I have obeyed the word of the Lord and have gone the way the Lord sent me; I have brought Agag, the king of Amalek, here and struck Amalek with ban.
21 But the people took from the captured cattle and sheep, the best of the forbidden, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.
22 Then Samuel said: Surely the Lord has as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the Lord's words? No, obedience is better than sacrifice, obedience better than the fat of rams; At 6,6 Matt 9,13 Matt 12,7
23 for obstinacy is no better than the sin of sorcery, and defiance is like idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you, so you will not be king. 1 Sam 16,1
24 Then Saul said to Samuel: I have sinned; I have transgressed the Lord's commandments and your words; for I was afraid of the people and yielded to them.
25 But now leave me my sin and return with me, that I may worship the Lord!
26 Samuel answered Saul: I will not return with you; for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and so the Lord has rejected you, so that you will not be king over Israel.
27 So Samuel turned and wanted to go. But Saul took hold of the hem of his robe, and it was torn off.
28 Then Samuel said to him: Today the Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you and given it to another, who is better than you. 1 Sam 28,17 1 Kings 11,11
29 And Israel's faithful God does not lie and does not repent; for he is not a man, so he should repent. Numbers 23,19 Hebrews 6,18
30 Saul answered: I have sinned, but still show me honor for the elders of my people and for Israel and return with me! Then I will worship the Lord your God.
31 Then Samuel followed Saul back, and Saul worshiped the Lord.
32 Then Samuel said: Bring Agag, the king of Amalek, here to me! Glad in his mind, Agag went up to him, and Agag said: Surely, the bitterness of death has gone away.
33 But Samuel said: Just as your sword has made women childless, so now your mother will be childless more than other women. Then Samuel cut down Agag before the Lord in Gilgal.
34 Then Samuel went to Ramah, but Saul went up to his house in Saul's Gibeah.
35 And Samuel saw Saul no more until the day of his death, for Samuel mourned for Saul. But the Lord regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel.

Including the entire chapter from Samuel's book as this is so incredibly educational!

Saul had been given a clear message that everything was to be killed, nothing was to be spared.
“Go now and smite Amalek, and smite all that is his; do not spare him, but kill both man and woman, both child and suckling, both ox and sheep, both camel and donkey."

So what did King Saul do? We are reading:
"Saul and the people spared Agag and the best and the second best of the flocks and herds and the lambs - all that looked good - and would not ban them; but all cattle that were mean and wretched, they banished."

Saul let what looked good live, the rest he killed according to God's word!

It is then easy to warn against Finn Arne Lauvås who sits in a bungalow in Thailand and through his Facebook page and books he publishes.
Controls gullible mostly women.
But what does Jan Hanvold do?
He has his own TV Channel that these preachers get to promote themselves.
This means that they spare the false prophet and seducer Jan Hanvold!
This is nothing but flesh, and God's Word warns against such a practice!

What Christian Norway does both here and time after time. Is that you hold the flesh for your arm, and are inconsistent and one lets the flesh, the world and sin into the congregation! Again and again. Those who should be kept out!

Lamentations 1. 10 The enemy stretched out his hand after all her precious things; for she saw Gentiles entering her sanctuary, those whom you commanded should not enter your congregation. Deuteronomy 23,3 Neh 13,1 Psalm 79,1

Why do Gordon Tobiassen travel secretary in Ordet & Israel, Leif S. Jacobsen retired pastor in the Methodist Church and Missionary and preacher Halvard Hasseløy operate with two standards?

I agree with them that Finn Arne Lauvås is a heretic. But isn't Jan Hanvold also that with his many marriages and his theology of glory? Of course!
Both are divisive activities. As a deceiver and seducer.
Then the scripture says clearly, these are to be turned away from. Why is there a clear warning against Lauvås, but not Hanvold? This is hypocrisy and wrong!
