No. 1537:
All of God's promises, God's blessing are fulfilled in Christ, and in him they have received their yes and Amen!
And the children of Israel went on dry ground through the Red sea, and the whole Egyptian army drowned.
Shows that it is a positive difference to trust God, and not trust God a very negative result.
There were catastrophic consequences for the Egyptian army, which relied only on its own power and strength.
Exodus 15. 1. Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord: I will sing praise to the Lord, for he is highly exalted; horse and man he plunged into the sea. 2 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. he is my God, and I will praise him, the God of my father, and I will exalt him. 3 The Lord is a man of war, the Lord is his name. 4 He cast Pharaoh's chariots and his army into the sea, and his chosen chariots drowned in the Red Sea. 5 Abysses hid them, they sank like stones in deep water. 6 Your right hand, O Lord, is glorified in power; your right hand, O Lord, crushes enemies. 7 And in the dominion of thy majesty thou shalt smite thy adversaries; you release your anger, it consumes them like straw. 8 And by thy breath the waters were gathered together, the waves beating as the mighty waters; deep waters were hardened in the heart of the sea.
2 Cor. 1. 20 For as many as are the promises of God, in him they have their yes, therefore they also receive by him their amen, God be glorified through us.
The greatness of Jesus is such that it surpasses all that we can comprehend, comprehend and comprehend.
Therefore, the scripture says the following:
Eph. 3. 20 But he that is able to do above all things, beyond what we ask or understand, according to the power that worketh in us,
But at the same time for us, when the "sea" is so enormous.
We "only" need to get what we need ourselves.
Does not really need "everything", just some parts of Christ.
That is more than enough, as the riches of Christ are infinite!
We do not always need the "whole" blessing of heaven, just a little "bit!"
There are at least two pitfalls to fall into.
One is that we ask for little and nothing. We do not see the opportunities we have in Christ and that riches,
The second is that we ask for "too much!"
Expect almost the impossible, both from God, ourselves and other people.
And that we do not have patience in relation to the answer to prayer.
This is something Jacob is talking about.
James 4. 1. Where does all the strife come from, and where does all the strife come from among you? Is it not by your lusts that war in your limbs? 2 I desire, and have not; You kill and carry envy, and can not get; You are in conflict and unrest. You have not, because you do not pray; 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Here we meet what I would call the outer edges, why we do not get from the Lord.
When we get that we do not take care of it. It is when we do not believe and when we waste things. We are not disciplined, grateful and are like a guy to play with.
In other words, it is a negative side and where we can get into unhealthy tracks in our walk with the Lord.
But how to experience what has to do with God?
Want to mention ten (10) things here, then in key word form.
1.) All the promises we find in both the Old Testament and the New Testament are fulfilled in Christ or are to be fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, it belongs to us, as we are heirs of God and co-heirs of Jesus Christ.
Room. 8. 17 But if we are children, then we also are heirs, heirs of God, and heirs with Christ, if we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Joshua 1. 3 Everywhere you go, I give to you, as I said to Moses:
We must find at least one promise, preferably several, and stand on them in Jesus' name.
They belong to us and are given to all of us who are in Christ Jesus.
2.) In the world of God, to experience this. Then we must believe God, acquire it and live in faith. Faith is what "draws" the riches that are in God and Christ, to us and into our reality. Faith is essential to experience God, without faith we will not experience God.
Faith is crucial.
Scripture says:
Heb. 11. 6 but without faith it is impossible to please God; for he who appears before God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Mark 11. 22 And Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God. 23 Verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up, and cast into the sea day. and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be experienced to him. 24 Wherefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire and desire, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
We then face both opportunities and challenges.
A challenge that is important to take with you is to find at least one scripture that you must place in the situation you are in.
Here is a rich material as the whole Bible, everything in both the Old Testament and the New Testament is useful to us.
Why? Because everything is fulfilled in Christ, and he is what we are in.
We are placed in Christ - in all parts.
Eph. 2. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love that he loved us with, 5 made us alive with Christ, even though we were dead in our trespasses - by grace you are saved - 6 and raised us up with
him and sat us with him in heaven, in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the coming times he might show the riches of the grace of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
We had this scripture as a starting point, and we also read the context. Then we see that everything is in Christ, and then we must reckon that we who are in Christ. Belongs to him and is his co-heir and heir of God, that everything is also available to us who believe in him, Christ.
1 Cor. 1. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who is become unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 For as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
We are in Christ - he is the word - then we must "find" one and preferably more of God's word that applies to our situation. Link it to our prayer desire or prayer need.
At the same time, we do this in faith, then the miracles also happen. I will briefly give some tips to use God's word in the right way to experience prayer hearing.
Then we must find at least one, preferably several scriptures that apply to our prayer hearing.
Experienced answer to prayer is above all linked to the promises, and that we are able and believe God for what he himself says and speaks to us in his own word, his own wonderful and glorious word.
1.) Are you discouraged? God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
2. Tim. 1. 7 For God gave us not the spirit of discouragement, but the spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2.) What will the future be like? God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Jeremiah 29. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not thoughts of evil, to give you hope and hope.
3.) Do you need certainty about prayer hearing and prayer answers? God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Jeremiah 29. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not thoughts of evil, to give you hope and hope. 12 And ye shall call upon me, and go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you; 13 and ye shall seek me, and ye shall find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14a I will let myself be found of you, says the Lord,
4.) Worried? God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
File. 4. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
5.) Financial difficulties? Other difficulties? Whatever it is, the answer is found in the word of God and in the Lord. God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
File. 2. 9 Therefore God also exalted him exceedingly, and gave him the name which is above every name, 10 That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of them that are in heaven, and in earth, and under the earth, 11 And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus' name is bigger than any other name. There may be financial difficulties. Physical, mental and all other difficulties.
6.) Meeting difficult people and other challenges? Whatever it is, the answer is found in the word of God and in the Lord. God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Word. 21. 1. The king's heart is like a brook in the hand of the Lord, he bends it where he wills.
7.) Are you tired and tired? The challenges too big? Whatever it is, the answer is found in the word of God and in the Lord. God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Isaiah 40. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he giveth strength. 30 Boys grow weary and weary, and young men stumble. 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall lift up their wings like eagles; they run and do not grow weary, they walk and do not grow weary.
8.) Do you need the power to live as the word of God? Do you have a challenge in any area of your life?
File. 4. 19 And my God, according to his riches, will fill all your desire for glory in Christ Jesus.
9.) Do you need healing for the body and soul life? Whatever it is, the answer is found in the word of God and in the Lord. God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Read e.g. Isaiah 53 and many other passages in the scriptures that clearly state that we are healed through the miracles and wounds of Jesus.
1 Pet. 2. 24 He that beareth our sins upon his own body upon the tree, that we may die from our sins and live for righteousness, hath known whose wounds ye are healed.
10.) The most important question is when it comes to our salvation. This is the question that the Bible answers rather than any other question. Whatever it is, the answer is found in the word of God and in the Lord. God's word and promises are for you many places in the whole Bible. Here is one of many, many examples.
Room. 10. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Ap.gj. 4. 12 And there is no salvation in any other; for nor is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we shall be saved.
Closing comment:
Within the world of prayer, there is not a single area where it is possible not to "achieve" the answers to prayer one wishes to achieve.
It's just a matter of using God's word properly.
Believe God, and pray and desire all that one needs, desires and wants.
This is not selfishness or putting oneself at the center.
This is God willing, that the Lord is with us, not against us!
Room. 8. 31 What shall we then say to this? Is God for us, who is against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he, if he give us all things, with us? 33 Who will accuse God's elect? God is the one who justifies; 34 Who is he who condemns? Christ is the one who is dead, yea, what is more, who is also risen, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us; 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation or anxiety or persecution or hunger or nudity or danger or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are considered slaughter sheep. 37 But in all these things we gain more than victory over him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, neither angels nor powers, neither what is now nor what is to come, nor any power, 39 neither height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
